Ok subs/sandwiches, overpriced!. I used to go here when it first opened as there was limited choices in the Lynlake area, and it was ok, but over time I feel the food got worse and the prices are too high for what it is. I decided to try again on 10-9-10, and 2 sanwiches cost me 18.00, and that was without sodas and chips, this is too much money for average food! I prefer Milios actually, atleast you get a decent sandwich without costing you a lot of cash, which a lot of us do not have to spend 8.50 on a sandwich. Also, the staff acts as if you MUST tip them, but after paying so much for a sandwich, i don't think so, but you get dirty looks when you don't! if you need more money, get a better paying job!

Eat there if you want, as long as I don't have to..... In being Minnesotan, I feel it's necessary to draw a line of separation between "good" and mere institutionalized acceptability. For the folks who haven't frozen off taste buds by licking frozen metal when they were drunken teenagers, "good" still exists, but you'd best look elsewhere.

MN food Example A: Hotdishes. They're generally just not "good." Don't whine, you can still fantasize about grandma's special tater-tot-green bean-Campbell's soup concoction - but it's merely the warm, fuzzy family experience that you enjoy. In fact, it's a pretty lame attack on "good" food to take bastardized, flimsy and abhorrently bland ingredients and serve in a hot dish.

Well, turns out, weak ingredients make a decisively lame sandwich too, and Caffery's is the proof. Walk in and look behind the counter - the same shrink-wrapped meats and institutional bread that you were probably served in elementary school. Now, as the wise American that you are, you can pay your $7 at Caffery's....or you can get the same sad excuse for food at the local gas station for $3.50, OR just crash your nephew's 2nd grade lunch period.

Face it, lunch-lady food is not completely rad just because it's in Uptown. And Caffery's is NOT good. Hey, feel free to try it, but don't expect anything above the "well, I guess it's food" rating.

Ooops, almost forgot. In fairness, the soups here are good. Some people think that Progresso is the next sliced bread. These folks will love it.

Great subs. Best subs in town by far. The interior is a #$%@hole, but worth the food experience.

the BEST subs, forgot about subway. My place of employment recently ordered from Caffrey's. This is by far, the best sandwiches we have ever tasted. Very quick delivery and food was great. No delivery charge, which is always a plus. I had the three pepper chicken, it was amazing, quite a kick to it, but delicious.

Proud to say that Caffrey's now has several customers for life and will probably become our local delivery place.

Incredibly delicious hot authentic Philly Cheesesteak. We were referred by a nearby business, the LynLake Barber Shop, when I asked if they knew a place that had decent Philly Cheesesteak Sandwiches, so we stopped in to try it. I ordered the no-frills Philly and I was totally blown away. Served like the real thing, steaming hot with melted cheese and onions just dripping from a super-fresh bun, the meat was good quality and the seasoning an excellent rendition of that inexplicably addictive flavor that permeates this iconoclastic favorite in its namesake city. Of course, it is just your average small deli and there are only a few tables so don't bring the whole ball team to eat in. My partner and I actually ordered our meals for carryout but once I peeked into the corner to check that I had the right sandwich, the divine aroma accompanying the wisps of steam escaping the package made my knees too weak to make it to the car. That might be the only reason to "eat in"!
