avoid after dark... Best Lunch spot for fresh fried fish and soul food.. chicken/gizzards/cold pop..neighborhood feel. ok.. now this is THE place in the city for some good ol' soul food. Authentic chicago style deli. THE best fried chicken in the state of Minnesota. I know it probably would not be the first thing on your mind but I recommend the gizzards/wings combo for lunch.. Come during lunch time and get a generous portion of great food for 5 bucks.... Now keep in mind it is on Broadway in North Minneapolis but dont let that stop you. If you come during lunch time or before dark it is the most wholesome community eatery. The spices they use are out of this world and like nothing you have ever had before. NEVER forget the hot sauce! The hot sauce is 25% of the experience. Wherever they get their hot sauce from it is the greatest flavor. With big orders you could call ahead and tell them to have it done by whatever time you need it by. If you've ever been intimidated by the whole "north side" thing DONT BE. Because dont forget people its still MINNESOTA and most people are just good wholesome nice people. So come down to minnesota's best kept secret and get some soulfull warm chicken or CATFISH.. also the JUMBO shrimp is great. The seasonings OUT OF THIS WORLD.. I LOVE IT! will be a repeat customer as long as I live in Minnesota!... HOOK FISH & CHICKEN greatest experience in MINNEAPOLIS... or MINNESOTA for that matter. Great for large events you could buy as many wings as you need with menu options all the way to 500 pieces but the sky is the limit. THE FRENCH FRIES ARE THE GREATEST(seasonings) you could also buy them by the tray. DONT FORGET LUNCh.. you have got to come try it... Tell em Sean "nice" sent you!
