Tips for Golden Nails

Wow, that was not the experience I was hoping for. As a 40+ week pregnant woman walking in for a pedicure, I expected at least to be talked to and treated kindly. I was not offered a beverage, as it seems everyone else was, I was barely talked to (just motioned when to move each foot) and was in and out in less than 30 minutes. I got a simple pedicure, but I wonder if the decent service comes when you get the deluxe. Overall very frustrated with the experience and would not recommend this place to others.

Great Customer Service. AvaAllegra, are you referring to Hon (not sure how to spell her name) or if she's the manager or not, but she seemed to be the manager when I went there a few weeks ago. I've been there twice now. The second time, a few weeks ago, I was charged $5 extra for a wax dip for my pedicure, and I didn't know it was extra. When the lady I had went to ring me up, it was $5 more than I expected and I asked her what the extra $5 was for. She said for the wax. I didn't put up a fight, and just paid it, but the more I sat there thinking about it after I paid and my nails dried, I called Hon over and explained that I didn't know that the wax was an extra $5. Not a huge deal, $5, but I would have appreciated being told. She went and talked to the girl that did my nails, and she said she asked me if I wanted the wax, which she did, and I said sure, but she didn't explain it was more money. They ended up giving me $5 back. It would have been fine if they didn't, but I thought that was nice that they did. Then, the first time I went there, I called to see what time they closed, and they were closing in like the next 5 minutes, but they asked if I could get there by then and when I said yes, they stayed open and did my nails. I asked when I got there if it was ok, because I felt bad, but they were more than happy to stay open. I think that was Hon also. I've been very impressed with their customer service. They do a good job too, and their pedicure massage chairs are very nice. Not all falling apart like some places are.

Caring Management, Clean Salon, Quality Nails!. The manager at Golden Nails in Golden Valley truly cares that her customers have a good experience at her nail salon. My first experience at Golden Nails was not good, but the manager worked very hard to show me that it was a one-time thing related to a certain staff member (who is no longer there), but it was not the high level of quality product and customer service that they usually provide. They re-did my nails for free, and the quality of my nails was excellent. She and her staff were so kind to me and displayed excellent customer service. I am so glad she took the effort to make the situation right because she and her staff did a great job and I will now go to Golden Nails on a regular basis!

Bad foot infection, Don't go there!!!. I went there a week ago and ended up getting a bad infection in my foot after getting a pedicure done there. I spoke with the staff about it and they where not friendly or helpful at all. All I was asking for was my money back that I spent on the pedicure nothing else.

I even went there with a doctor?s note and prescriptions to show them that I did have an infection in my foot; they told me that they didn't give it to me. I must have gotten it somewhere else and that there is no way to get an infection in your foot unless they cut you. They told me my doctor was wrong and they wouldn?t give me anything. I explained to them my infection started two days after I had gotten my pedicure and they said; see it was two days after you came here, so it wasn?t us. Real bunch of idiots working there.
