I have been a client of Lights, Camera, Action for about 8 years. Not only have I been a client, I've entrusted Rachel with my (now) 18-year-old daughter, to the exemplary hair care routine LCA has repeatedly demonstrated. You ask WHY I've entrusted Rachel with my hair? The answer is very simple....Rachel is very dedicated to her her work as a hair care specialist. Rachel is very compassionate about "Hair Care." You will NEVER see, "quick weaves, freeze curls, jerry curls, or any other crazy hair style," leaving Rachel's salon. At LCA, the clientele is very professional and we care about our image of professionalism. After reading some of the negative comments that were stated in some of the aforementioned "tips" section, I felt compelled to leave my overall, personal experience about this business. Unfortunately, everyone isn't looking for the same hair care experience with their hairstylist. If you are looking for anything other than professionalism, hair CARE, HEALTHY hair, no DRAMA, and a compassionate hair stylist.......then LCA is not the place for you.

I have been coming to Lights Camera Action Salon for 5 years and I am always impressed each time step foot in this business. Rachel was able to get my damaged hair healthy in a matter of months. I recommend coming here because it isn't just a hair salon to me it's like a second family. It is a very affordable price and you can even get the Keritan treatment here. It is one f those salons you will always be loyal too.

Save your $ and hair -- AVOID THIS awful SALON !!!!.
OMG, why did I not LISTEN to the other online reviews I had read & AVOID GOING TO THIS SALON in order to get a keratin-treatment done on my hair ?!!!!!!
Those reviews seemed so extreme that I honestly thought they were exaggerating.
Not only were they NOT exaggerating -- they were UNDERSTATING just how totally unprofessional & incompetent this salon actually is.
NEVER NEVER NEVER will I EVER return to this horrific place again.
These people are without doubt the most UNPROFESSIONAL & INCOMPETENT (not to mention uncaring & ghetto-mentality) group of hair "stylists" that I have ever met.
The person named Erycka is just about the most unprofessional, bullying, intimidating and ghetto-behaving person that I've ever encountered in my life (even to the point of seeming to control the one named Rachel, who owns the salon).
This is the WORST salon I have ever been to in my life!
These people are just the worst people ever.
No professionalism, no competence, constant playing of 'the race card' in an effort to secure customers, etc.
My hair looks awful & they followed NONE of the instructions used for keratin-treatments done at any other salon.
They become hostile (almost violent) if a person 'dares' to inquire as to the process being done on their hair & I later noticed the instruments they use (ex. brushes) are NOT even clean.
Ick!
Unless broken hair (& possible scalp disease is your goal) -- you are best to avoid this salon like the plague!

Lights Camera action is the best salon I've found so far in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area! I have had nothing, but good experiences in this salon when it comes to my hair.
Rachel is the go to girl. She is the only master stylist in the salon, but I think that is because every time someone sees her do someone's hair, they just have to get their time in her chair! I've been to the salon before and had another stylist do my hair and I do not remember her name. Though her job was okay, I just had to find a way to come back and get my spot in the book under Rachel's name!
Rachel has an assistant, Erica, who I find to be quite hilarious at times and add a sense of joy to the salon. LOL! Also, a new assistant has just been added by the name of Deja. She is grand. My scalp has never been cleaner! You can also find her family, husband and kids, helping out around the salon! I love the family atmosphere!
Rachel books up fast some Fridays and always Saturday, so book wisely!
Though the salon does not offer nails yet, but they are expecting to in the future. I see nothing, but new and great things to come. Rachel and LCA are so great at sending a bi-monthly email out to customers to keep them updated and offer great deals!
Most important, they do all types of hair, I just would like to thank them for keeping my African American hair right and tight! l feel so beautiful! (4 stars)
