This tiny coffee shop serves delicious breakfast treats and dishes that are as affordable as they are unique.. In Short
What's in a name? Well, if you're the Colossal Café, a nod and a wink. This coffee shop and eatery in South Minneapolis is about as big as those outdoor Dairy Queens -- you know, the ones that are basically n ice-cream stand. But that doesn't stop hordes of visitors from making weekend pilgrimages to Colossal for their homemade biscuit sandwiches that put a European spin on a big ol' meaty Southern classic, and the little restaurant's famous flappers, pancakes stuffed with fresh fruit, brie and walnuts, if you please. Everything here is unique, and delicious, and in a colossal-way.

Big Servings in a Fun Cafe. I debated writting a review for this place becuase I want to keep it all to myself. EVeryone I have recommended this place to has raved about it.

The people are nice and the food is home made!

Ok. when you first see it you will think you have the wrong place. But trust me you have the right place. You will find the best breakfast east of 35W in Minneapolis. Everything is in big portions and made from scratch. I love the 'flappers' and their breakfast sandwiches. I have also had thier lunch and the sandwiches are original and tastey. It is a small dining room, but I have always found a place to sit. I have also gotten my breakfast to go as I live a few blocks away. They treat you like a guest in thier home and do an excellent job.

One hint is that they make a scrumptions take and bake dinner that is to die for.
