Great Entertainment. The guys on stage are great! Very entertaining, avoid going on a friday or saturday night after 9pm it gets too crowded! They made great Long Islands! There were too many Iowa people there the night we were there....

Understand the Concept. The Shout House is an awesome bar but people don't understand the concept. It is supposed to be a fun sing a long interactive bar...not a concert..people whose songs didn't get played probably requested "Muskrat Love" or something..and the reason it costs so much to get a request played is because if you look on the pianos they usually have 500 requests up there....who wouldn't play the one with the biggest tip first? And I had no problem with the service..it was excellent

Horrible Customer Service!!. We paid a lot of money to spend New Year's Eve at the Shout House, and I was severely disappointed. The buffet was catered in by another company and was average at best. We had to personally seek out our waitress and tell her to wait on us so we didn't have to keep walking to the bar for drinks. The amount of money it costs to get the piano players to play a song is ridiculous! Than there is the chance that someone else will pay money to have your song ended. The worst part of all was when they started playing Iowa, North Dakota and the U of M's school songs. It turned into this big rivalry where people were dumping money in the jar to switch back to their school song. Not the best way to unite the customers on New Year's Eve night!!!

Great time!!. First of all, let me say, that I hate downtown.. BUT this is such a great time! These are some of the most talented musicians I've ever seen! They play multiple instruments and are so funny! Definately get there early! I went on a Saturday at 6:30. It was slow till about 8:00 but the piano guys were just as lively at 6:30 as they were at midnight! Warning - they can get raunchy! Don't take people that are easily offended by sexual inuendos. So what if you have to pay for your songs? They played mine for $1 a piece. One very appealing feature of this place is location.. It's just off the Block E parking ramp elevator so you don't feel like you're going to be mugged getting there!!

A great place to hear a wide variety of music!!!

Definately 30+ scene. The bar was terrible! FYI the food and drinks take FOREVER to get to you and the food is not good. Our waitress took over 15mins to get us some of our drinks and occasionally forgot we ordered drinks. Whats worse is this bar has a manditory 18% tip added into you bill. So the waitresses dont care that they are so slow because they know they'll get an 18% gratuity anyway. Oh, and the piano players and singers do have talent but all the music is old or country, and you have to pay a lot of money to get your song heard.

The Best Bar Downtown. The most fun I have ever had downtown. Believe me, Im not a fan of the downtown scene, but this bar is amazing. Go on a weekday if youre a cheapass like me. It doesnt matter how many people, or how few are there, you still will have an awesome time. The piano players are incredibly talented and they will know almost any song you can throw at them.

great place for all ages. I brought my parents into town and we took them to the shout house not knowing if they would enjoy it since their musical knowlege is not what I would call "current." We had a great time and the musicians really impressed all of us with their versitility to play pretty much everything anyone could request. Drinks are average for downtown, it was nice to get there early to beat the cover charge, but the place is definitely more exciting with a larger crowd later on.

AWESOME. Far and away the most fun I have had in a bar EVER! The musicians were unbelievable talents. They all played 4 instruments, and were very good singers. They really got us going. The drinks were stiff, service stellar. I was like being at a rock concert, and the band talked to you between songs, and even they even envite you to join them on stage. We went back on Sat. night and had even more fun!

We had fun. This was the first time I had been out in downtown Minneapolis. We were just walking down Hennepin and walked in to check it out. It was a little slow at first, we were probably their to early. The music was great and we stayed until close. Our waitress was horrible. We ended up going to the bar to get our own drinks. Then she managed to dump a beer on my husband. Claimed that was the first time that had happened, doubt that... When we saw her put her coat on to leave, that was the best part ever. Our second waitress was good. I would recommend the Shout House. It's something different!! We were dancing in our seats. We had an awesome time we'll probably go back if we are in the Cities again. Hopefully we won't get stuck with the bad waitress again.
