Shady Business Operation

So I was up at Bootleggers running a tab between myself and five other friends/co-workers. Nothing too crazy, just a low key night and I decided to pick up the tab because it wasn't a problem. Anyways, it gets time to bar-close and I'm getting ready to pay the tab and management pulls me aside.

They tell me there was a minor problem and a manager was on their way to clear things up. Finally a manger informs me that "they'd accidentally lost my card by giving it to the wrong individual" but not to worry because the person that they gave it to was a "regular". Uhh, okay... Like that makes it any better. So immediately I'm thinking A) Did my card get scanned "accidentally" too? B) How do they know the person they accidentally gave it to was a regular? C) What kind of bar is this?

Obviously I wasn't too happy but, accidents happen and I didn't want to look like a donkey in front of my co workers. They ended up erasing my tab which was cool and we swapped numbers so they could give me a call when something comes up with my card. Cool. So just to be safe I cancel my card that night. Good thing I did.

The next morning I get a call from an employee saying "you're card is safe we have it now and you can come pick it up X day at X time" So I'm thinking atleast my card is safe now. WRONG.

Then, I call my bank to tell them it's okay to turn my card back on. Everything looked good until he checked my account activity and informed me that someone attempted to use the card. At first I was thinking it was probably the "regular" attempting to use my card so I'm glad they know this person. But no, the banker tells me the card was attempted to be used AFTER the employee had called me telling me they had my card in their posession.

Anyhow I'm running out of characters. This was unreal. I have lived downtown for quite a while now and have never expereinced anything like this, and we go out quite often. I won't be going back. Neither will any of my friends.

Terrible Customer Service

It was 20 below and I lost or had my purse stolen. Not only were they not willing to help they would not let me back into the bar because I didn't have my id. I explained to the bouncer that my purse was either stolen or lost right inside the door but he did not care- he left me outside. This bar was just like every other Minneapolis bar with bouncers who think they should be jerks because they are given too much power. I read the reviews before I went so I was expecting a lot more. I got nothing but left in the freezing cold without money. I was not impressed at all. I am in the service industry and this bar gets the worst rating for service. There is no one willing to help which shows me how the business is run. You know what is important to the owners/managers by their service and this rates a zero. I would not recommend it.
