Set an appointment with ATHELAS!!!. Obviously by the headline of my review, Athelas (pronounced UH THEY LESS) has a gift that is "shear" magic. I have had my hair cut in the Twin Cities, Chicago, and New York City. I haven't found anyone quite as good as she is.

Normally, I don't like when someone is cutting my hair and trying to force a conversation. It's uncomfortable and neither the "haircutter" or the "haircutee" (that would be me) wants to talk anyway. I mean really, how long can you discuss the weather and other painfull conversational fillers. Then, I had my first cut with Athelas.

Yes, she has the gift of gab and is one of those people that you feel you've known you're whole life. Yet, there's more to it. I'm telling you, I should be paying her $100 an hour. She has given me better advice than my therapist on several occasions.

Between her unbeatable haircuts, immediate ability to make you feel at home, and FREE therapy sessions....I won't go to anyone else.

Best Haircut and shave in town. I would say I have been to many male shops and this really takes the cake. I enjoy the time I sepnd in the chair with Nick and he is always professional and on time for my appts as many are over the lunch hour dt mpls in the Macys location.

I would the eye candy in the place does not hurt either.

This is a definate must it you need a afternoon for man time.

Best Haircut in Uptown. I've been to the Winston's Barbershop off of Lake Street in Uptown and the staff is AMAZING!! From the front desk service (thanks adam) I recieved to sitting down in the barber chair (tiff, you're awesome!)! Not only is the staff good looking and talented, but they are also very easy to talk to. I felt like I had known them for years. They also have plenty of male friendly hair and skin products to make your hair (or lack there of) grow!

Contemporary barbershop in this downtown skyway services style-conscious men in a sophisticated yet masculine environment.. In Short
The mahogany billiards table and plasma TV tuned to sports channels beckon passersby into the male-only salon at Macy's Nicollet Mall location. The espresso-stained front desk and wood trim keep things masculine, yet classy. Throughout the week, youthful businessmen stop in on their lunch hour for trims finished off with high-end products like American Crew. But come the weekend, style-conscious guys book more intricate treatments such as massages, facials and manicures.
