Editorial Review for Cafe Levain – by Blair Reynolds
In Short
Though changes have been made to the decor, new wall paneling for example, the most notable changes are with the food. Chef Eric Sturtz's menu features French bistro fare such as mussels swimming in a delicious cream broth, mouth-watering beef short ribs, sweet caramelized Brussels sprouts, and other tasty dishes at prices under 20 bucks. Save room for desert, Cafe Levain's pastry chef makes some of the best treats in town--the creme brulee is some of the best in the city.

Levain is a great spot to take your date on her birthday, valentines day or any other special day. Moderate prices and great food. I had the short rib, it was fantastic. Also, I would strongly recommend the chocolate cake with hazelnut. The service was great, no rushing or bustling around. I would recommend it to everybody.
Pros: Great Service, Great Food, Good Prices
Cons: Cold by the door.
