Rehab Results. I have been through two physical therapy programs at Ortho Rehab Specialists. One was for multiple shoulder surgeries. The other for an arthritic knee. Both have had exceptional results. Mike Dixey & his staff are knowledge, professional and friendly. They really motivate you to complete a successful rehab.able

The Pro's Pros. I've been seeing the OrthoRehab team on&off for 12 years for my sports injuries. They are very methodical in their approach and relentless in helping me get over the 'hump' in my rehab and recovery. I was first referred to Terry B. by a leading twin cities orthopaedic surgeon over his own in-house PTs. That's how much respect this group has from the local medical community. At various times, I've worked with most of the PTs and assistants here and recommend them highly.

Proof is in the Results. I was referred to Mike Dixey by my sister in law, a pt herself. Mike began my first appointment by asking me what I thought was wrong. He listened to me and asked questions before leaping into a diagnosis. I had seen three other PT'sin the past two years for a left over injury from years of soccer playing. Mike was the first to listen and identify what was wrong. He told me that it would get better and gave me confidence in his ability to help me get there. He and Amber work great together and the office is helpful and friendly. They clearly care about what they do and are excellent at it.

They have extensive knowledge of the research in the field and the methods/exercises they are prescribing.

Since first working with the Ortho Rehab Team, I went though a pregnancy, delivery and breastfeeding. The team helped me navigate all those changes and how they impacted my injury. It is a great place to go to and the kindness and competence have gotten me back to a place of healthful exercise and pain free living! If you have a physical therapy need, go see Mike and you won't regret it!

Excellent therapy. I went here for issues with my neck/TMJ/back. I see Carol Lego. She is amazing and has focused on nerve therapy. Since going there my problems have nearly disappeared. The therapy is a bit unorthodox (not typical in that I do exercises, etc.) as she relaxes over sensitive nerves through pressure points. Still it is 90 min of very relaxing therapy. My insurance covers the therapy, so I pay about $20 per visit. I couldn't be happier with it.

AMAZING RESULTS!. Mike Dixey, at the Eden Prairie location, is the absolute BEST! Mike is joined by a friendly and highly competent staff; Amber, his PT assistant and Patti, his office manager. When I first came to Mike I was recovering from hip surgery. Prior to surgery I had been bedridden and had not left my home for 3 months. I was on crutches, had constant tingling in my legs and in severe pain. I thought my situation was hopeless. Over the next 2 1/2 months Mike worked patiently and diligently with me, bringing me through a series of exercises to rebuild strength and endurance. At the conclusion of that time period my crutches were gone (after 2 weeks!), my mobility restored and my pain minimal. Due to the extent of my injuries I still continue to see Mike off and on. Under his expert guidance I am confident I will experience full recovery. Mike is the ultimate professional. He is knowledgeable, compassionate, thorough and a joy to work with. He listens to his patients and genuinely cares about their needs and outcomes. I highly recommend Mike and his staff at Ortho Rehab. After all, he gave me back my life. How much better does it get than that?

Great Experiences. I've gone to OrthoRehab Specialists a couple of times for baseball related injuries to my shoulder. Mike and his staff have been incredibly helpful in giving out rehab routines that got me back to where I needed to be without setbacks. I play at the Division 1 level so while going through high school baseball, I needed to be healthy to play so that recruiting opportunities wouldn't pass by while I was sitting on the bench. Not only did his rehab get me healthy, but it set me up with a plan to continue forward to prevent injuries in the future. I went to OrthoRehab Specialists for the first time at the age of 13, went back at age 16, and if I ever had anything else, I'd go there again in a heartbeat.

Mike Dixey and Team are the very best!. I have had the pleasure of working with Mike Dixey and the Team at Ortho Rehab in Eden Prairie for a number of years. They have helped every member of our family with one medical issue or another to our complete satisfaction. They have provided resolution to several different Ortho issues in a fraction of the time. We are 100% satisfied with the care we have received from Mike and his Team. We highly recommend them!

Mike Saved Me from Surgery. After persistent pain in my right shoulder began affecting my actual range of motion, I went to my clinic where I was referred for physical therapy to Institute for Athletic Medicine. After 4-6 weeks of treatment there, my situation had noticeable worsened. Rather than allow the therapist to begin a different approach, I went to a physician at TRIA who hinted that arthroscopic surgery might be in my future. He also suggested that - if I "had the time" - he'd prefer trying another avenue of physical therapy first. (I "preferred" that, too, never having had ANY prior surgeries!) He specifically and strongly recommended Mike Dixey at Ortho Rehab, saying, "This is the perfect guy to work on your shoulder. My patients have had tremendous results with him - and he hopefully might enable you to avoid that surgery."



So I began seeing Mike at Ortho's Eden Prairie office. The difference was like night and day! It's a smaller facility with fewer locations and practitioners than was my prior physical therapy experience - yet I was able to get in for appointments right away and pretty much at my convenience. Patti, their receptionist, was great. Whenever I called, I'd always book thru her, and she always promptly and professionally accommodated my schedule and needs - a real pleasure to deal with - no "jumping thru hoops."



Mike himself was awesome! He never simply gave me instructions to do a certain exercise and left me unattended (as had been my experience before.) Instead, he provided me with thorough information about my problem along with comprehensive details on what his treatment would consist of and why. His hands-on treatments were thorough yet gentle - and most of all, effective! He was always careful to inquire about my comfort as he'd work on me so as not to cause any further pain. At every appointment, I always saw him - and often Amber Banwart in addition - equally knowledgeable, professional, and helpful, and totally up-to-speed re: my case. During each appointment, I was constantly monitored (which I had not experienced before), and measurements of my improvement were taken regularly. I was also provided with explicit instructions for home exercises to complement the care I received at their office.



I have no doubt that Mike saved me from surgery, and I've sung his praises to many of my friends. There is a consistency of the best in patient care in their office - as well as in the manner with which that care is provided. It always felt to me like Mike, Amber, and even Patti sincerely cared about me, the condition that brought me to them, and my progress. Theirs is a kind and very personal practice - almost like family. I never got that feeling elsewhere!



Today, thanks to Mike's excellent care and direction, I am TOTALLY pain-free and with my total range of motion restored. It's as if I'd never experienced any problem at all! And now I have the added assurance that - should I ever require further physical therapy for any other reason - I know where the best care is available and would head straight back there in a heartbeat. These folks really are the best!

Now I'm a Believer. I used to be very skeptical about going to physical therapy. Things weren't explained to me in a way I could understand. The exercise sheets that I was to follow at home didn't match up with what I had been shown during my appointment. This made me start with an attitude that it probably wasn't going to help. Bottom line...it seemed sort of useless and I never felt satisfied.



Finding Mike Dixie and his staff at Ortho Rehab made all that change. I went for neck pain and then again to regain my arm use after rotator cuff surgery. Each time, Mike told me in layman's terms what was causing the pain and had a very organized plan of treatment. Got a question? Hel'll answer it. Need a follow-up or paperwork? He'll do it.

Starting at square one with confidence really motivated me to have the right frame of mind to start helping myself.

Intelligent group, unquestionable results. I started going to Ortho Rehab and Mike Dixey specifically 5 years ago for a shoulder subluxation injury. Through his rehab and workouts I made it through 4 years of collegiate football on the shoulder. His advice was always very clear to understand, and the strength and stability in my shoulder speaks for itself. Also consulted him on a different injury in the opposite shoulder, and without his help and advice I would still be searching to diagnose and treat my extremely rare injury. This is hands down the smartest group I have worked with (and I have worked with a lot of physical therapists both within the Minneapolis area and outside). Any athlete or parent of an athlete should have these guys at the top of their list.
