Established in 1993, Pizza Luce began as a small space in Minneapolis's historic Warehouse District. Over the years, our award-winning
gourmet pizza, delivery service and late-night dining have earned exceptional customer loyalty.
At Pizza Luce, we take great pride in the quality of our food. We believe that good food comes from fresh ingredients, original recipes and happy cooks. We are strongly dedicated to maintaining the diversity of vegetarian and vegan alternatives on our menu (along with the carnivorous items as well, of course).

Pizza delivery was a disaster.. When I called they took my address down, did not ask for my telephone number so I assumed that their caller ID had it. They asked for my credit card, etc. I waited and waited and no delivery came. We had just moved into our house. My family and I were hungry. So 15 minutes after the time they said (45 minutes), I called them. They had the wrong address / went to an incorrect address. They said they called, but there is no call on my caller ID or any message on my voice message and I am sitting right here by my phone. So as I write this, they are supposedly making a new pizza and will have it to us asap. I am disappointed that they cannot write down an address correctly. I am disappointed that --if they did call- they also called the wrong number. Two wrongs in one night. Mmmmm. I sure hope the pizza tastes good after this very long wait. Suggestion: If you are moving into a new house, pick up a frozen pizza. Surely our oven is working correctly. I have visited the Selby location three times in person when a family member was doing yoga across the street and because i was alone the waiter first did not want to let me sit near the window and then ignored me for a long time before taking my order. The entrees are heavy on the oil, cream and fat and are not that original. So I will think twice before calling them for pizza delivery.
Horrendous Service.
After reading all these reviews and having an awful experience as well, it sounds like the Selby location needs a serious change in management.
My friend and I walked in at 10:55pm and said we'd wait for a booth (the front area was packed and noisy). When two booths opened up in the back at 11:10, we assumed we'd be seated. The waiter then told us the back was closed. Then 11:30 rolls around and we're still waiting, having not been acknowledged for the past 20 min. A group of three walks in, and they are seated immediately IN THE BACK AT A BOOTH. My friend and I were so angry, having been waiting 40+ min for a booth. We called the waiter, told him the situation, and he proceeded to take his time (10 MORE min) to actually take us to a seat. We weren't seated until 12:01.
In the end, there was no apology, no discount on our bill. During the whole hour of waiting, my friend and I watched the waiters joke around with each other, be inattentive to other customers, and take their time with everything they did.
The food is good, the service needs some serious rehab.
Horrible experiance - DO NOT GO.
I was at the Shelby shop yesterday. Hostess said we had to sit next the to Bar ( I had a 10 year old kid, who does not like to sit near the bar) I informed her, she said that's all they can do.
The restaurant was 80 % empty ??? I asked whether you take reservations she said NO. She tells me I will tell you where to sit. I ask for the manager, he came and acted as if he agrees and I need do as they say. I had to walk away, It was sad ! The same has happened to one of my friends with his date night.
If you like pizza go to PUNCH or casseltas. Thanks

Horrible food and service. I just went to Pizza Luce after readig rave reviews on the place. Let me be the first to say the service was bad with less than 7 people to a server and I had to get up and ask for more water. Our server continuosly walked past us without asking how are food was or if we needed anything. The food was nothin to brag about, the chicken parm sandwich i had said it was smothered in sauce but yet was almost as dry as a crouton. The pizza was nothing special tastes like it could have been frozen totinos. This was the Franklin ave Location Pizza Luce 4. I wiil never give them business again. Try cossetas or red savoys for better pizza.
Good pizza. OK service.. Great pizza but the staff in the dining area would rather socialize than provide good service. The place has limited seating, so the staff makes the situation worse by taking up bar seats from patrons when they end their shifts.
Great to have in St. Paul. Luce is one of the best pizza places in St. Paul. I love the variety of toppings and the unique combinations. If you are in the area, it's worth a stop even if you just get a slice of pizza and a beer. Not too many pizza places with have mock duck, tofu, asparagus, and brocolli as topping options. The bleu cheese dressing is the best I've ever had and I would highly recommend the salads as well. Friendly staff as well!
amazing pizza. My friend and I had never had Pizza Luce before but decided to try out the St. Paul location while we were in the area. The location was off the beaten path but we found that appealing, as there was less traffic and more available street parking, if the lot were to be full. We built our own pizza and it was the most delicious pizza we had ever tasted--not greasy in the least, with generous portions of crunchy, fresh vegetables. The service was warm without being cloying or over attentive, and the restaurant itself is beautiful. We can't wait to try out other varieties from this amazing pizza place! You'll never want to go back to the standard domino's, pizza hut, etc.
Nothing special.
The pizza is really worth eating here - we had the Athena Greek pizza and it was very tasty. Good selection of beers. The location is in the middle of a residential stretch on Selby Ave. Ambiance and the staff is more on the hipster end. Good place for adults, double dates, couples and friends to get together.
My second experience wasn't so good. Service was lack luster, the place was deafening and the pizza was not that great. There were lots of kids in the place and they were distracting. medium pizza and three beers - 35$ Might as well go to Punchh (site filtered the real spelling as inappropriate - lol) - the food is better and the crowd more interesting but it is really noisy too.
Unique and delicious pizzas. Pizza Luce is one of the few hipster restaurants in St Paul. That being said, the restaurant and its staff are highly unpretentious. Service is always friendly and efficient, the pizzas are delicious. (Try the Wrangler with Mock Duck.) It is slightly spendy - a large pizza will cost you close to $20, but the quality is worth it. There are plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. Wine and beer are also served (there's a healthy variety of beers on tap.) It's open late and they deliver. Definitely worth a visit.
