I found my dream dress at David?s and enjoyed the service I received.. My husband & I didn?t have a wedding date picked out yet, so when my sister/matron of honor and I drove to the Oakdale David?s Bridal location it was mainly to look at dresses for fun and to get ideas, but I couldn?t resist - I ended up trying on several gowns. I actually purchased my dress that day ? it was a dress I wasn?t thrilled over when I first saw it in the catalog but loved when I tried it on, and I did not want to take the gown off! At David?s you buy the actual dresses you try on unless you need a different size ordered, but the dress I tried on was dirty & stained so the consultant was supposed to order me a brand-new dress. I didn?t hear from David?s for months, so when some of my bridesmaids were trying on dresses I asked about my gown. No one there could find that an order had been placed for a new dress, and I think this would have made a different person mad, but I was actually very happy ? I had lost weight since the initial purchase, so I tried on the same gown in the next size down and I got to take that one home with me that day. I ended up giving Oakdale David?s Bridal my business for my gown, veils, tiara, bridesmaid?s dresses, wraps and scarves, & even our flowergirl dress. I also had my dress altered at David?s ? it cost around $200 due to how intricate my dress was & for the fact that I chose to have it overbustled, but it was money well spent. After my gown was altered I noticed some stains on it, but the seamstresses removed them for me in minutes and it looked good as new. I do agree that you won?t always get a consultant to yourself at David?s, but future brides need to remember that weekends and summertime will always be busy times and consultants are there to help everyone. If you?re looking to have a consultant to yourself it?s best to go to a boutique or small shop, but your best bet for widest selection and best prices will be David?s Bridal. I recommend appointments on a weeknight or early afternoon if you can leave work early.

Below average customer service. I made an appointment at this bridal shop. However, when I showed up I waited 15+ minutes past the time of my appointment for the sales assistant to become available, and when she did begin to help me she was still helping another customer. I rarely saw her after she showed me the shoes and grabbed a few of the dresses on the favorites list I had printed out before coming to the store. Even after the other customer left, I rarely saw her and ended up trying on the dresses, having my friend zip up or tie anything I wasn't able to, hanging up and grabbing each of the dresses that she had hung outside the dressing room myself. I wouldn't recommend this bridal shop unless you would prefer very minimal assistance.
