I have lost weight and heave more energy, I am much better able to go up and down stairs. I no longer wake up with stiffness. A Personalized Approach to Pilates.
I decided that I needed to get stronger and more flexible given I am not getting any younger. I heard Pilates focuses on your core and can improve balance. I feel stronger each day. Katie has taught me how to exercise my muscles without causing pain. I used to work out sporadically on my own and I'm very lucky that I didn't hurt myself. I have a lot more energy and feel better throughout the day. It is a great way to start the day. I would absolutely recommend Pilates and I talk about my experience with friends and colleagues. I seem to be better focused, able to concentrate longer and I don't tire so easily since I began training. I also pay more attention to my breathing.
Katie has been a joy to work with three times a week. She is personable and a real cheerleader in helping me achieve my goals. It is evident that Katie takes fitness seriously and is a master of well being. She takes the time to listen and willingly adjusts the workout to suit my needs. She cheers me on to do more than I think I can do and is personally committed to helping me be as fit as possible.
"I Should Have Done This Long Ago.". My bone density was alright for a woman my age until Graves' disease came along. I came to MGayle Studio to rebuild my body. I have never been athletic. I didn't know the difference between a dumbbell and a doorbell. Weight lifting is now one of the most fun things that I do. Never did I realize how much better it could make me feel. I should have done this long ago. Marlo is a vivacious personal trainer who is patiently teaching me the 'language' of working out. She has given me good advice about nutrition and how to navigate the equipment.
Remarkable Transformation!. I chose MGayle Studios on the advice of my massage therapist who suggested I consider Pilates for posture and muscle strengthening. I had done Pilates mat work before and some Power Yoga but had never used the Reformer or Cadillac. I recently traveled to Europe and carried a 30-pound backpack along with a 60-pound roller suitcase up and down train stairs many times. I was able to do this more easily than I thought because of the strength I have in my core, legs and arms. And, I attribute that strength to my Pilates work with Katie and Marlo at MGayle. In my daily life, I have an overall sense of increased strength in opening doors and carrying bags. I am looking forward to running this summer and extra power generated by strong core muscles. The power of Pilates is in its "low-high impact" meaning you get high impact from a low impact workout. I have recommended Pilates training to some friends and would encourage anyone who is looking to improve their strength and posture to do Pilates at MGayle Studio.

I have always had difficult pregnancies, and was never able to lose the weight afterwards.
In the spring of 2004 I met Kim Larsen, and started taking Pilates lessons from her. She was kind, knowledgeable, and very encouraging. I could not have asked for a better teacher.
The difference was night and day. I felt better, looked better, and had more energy. When I got pregnant with my third child, I was able to continue my Pilates lessons throughout most of my pregnancy. The pregnancy was easier, and so was the delivery. I lost the weight in record time. I accredit Pilates for all of that. I was sold, and trained with Kim to become a Pilates instructor myself. Pilates changed my life.
Exercise can be rewarding and fun!. I had some health concerns that led me to the realization that I needed to make some lifestyle changes and I needed to start with working out. I have hated working out in the past, I always felt like it was a chore and going to a gym always felt so sterile. I also tried the personal trainer route but didn't feel any kind of connection, just felt like I was a number. I discovered M Gayle Studios in my neighborhood and checked out the website. I read one of the testimonials stating that the person now thought working out was fun. I needed fun. I knew right from the first consultation that I had found the place for me. Michael took the time to research my health conditions and we talked specifically about what we could accomplish together. Through a combination of cardio, strength training and Pilates I have come to enjoy working out. I have increased my fitness level past where I ever thought I could go. I feel better, healthier and stronger. I have learned so much about myself since I have begun working out with Michael. I see the accomplishments that I have made and it makes me want to accomplish more. The personal attention to each client is amazing. You aren't just a number, the environment is not sterile. Training Tailored to the Individual.
First off, in just over a year at M Gayle Studio I have lost over 60lbs. I am now fitter and trimmer than I have ever been, and in the best shape of my life. I am now able to go on a 10 mile run, do 50 pushups at a time, and things I never thought possible. More importantly M Gayle Studios tailors the workout to the client. It specializes in the needs of the individual. If the client wants just personal training, that is what the client receives. However, it can be more than that. M Gayle Studios also can increase ones belief in oneself, coach the client to their desired goal, and help the client find their spiritual zen.
I have been training for over a year now at the studio, trying to reach a goal. I have nearly obtained that goal, but there has been other unexpected benefits too. I am healthier overall, I have a more positive attitude, and I am able to enjoy life more.

I was starting to feel hopeless about ever getting the kind of results from exercise that I was looking for—that is, until I discovered MGayle Studio. I could not have found a better personal trainer for myself than Michael Gayle. He loves what he does, and it is obvious from the enthusiasm and encouragement he provides. He offers his services with care and sincerity, and he instills a high level of trust. Michael has extensive knowledge of the body and nutrition, and he applies that knowledge to my body’s specific needs and my personal goals. During my sessions, Michael explains and demonstrates exercises in addition to using touch to modify or adjust my pose. Michael is teaching me exercises and techniques specific to the program he is creating for me—a program I can take with me and incorporate into my life. Changed My Life. Before working with Michael Gayle and his staff at M Gayle Studio, walking up a flight of stairs was a struggle. Day to day activities most people take for granted were a challenge due to my morbid obesity. Michael designed a plan that allowed me to lose 165 pounds without surgery, pills or any kind of gimmicks. It took a lot of hard work and dedication, but Michael made the journey as fulfilling as the goal. Michael believed in me when I didn't believe in myself. Personal Training with a Difference!!. Remember when you biked almost daily, played ball a couple of times a week, climbed mountains on vacation or swam all day in a heavy surf? Remember when a desk job, increasing hours at work, added responsibilities at home and just getting older changed all that? Scheduling with MGayle Studios made me take that time I thought I no longer had to do something FUN for myself and beneficial in the process. Michael matched me with trainers I really liked ,and I was given opportunities to try different things in order to find something I really enjoyed doing. I found that a combination of Pilates and Yoga best fit my needs and desires, and I really looked forward to each session. Best of all, I could see the improvement over time in my strength, flexibility and (yes) the waistline. I loved it!!
