Not typical selection. When this place opened in Spring of 2006, I was a customer about seven times in just a few weeks. It's just as good now. The food is fresh because of the quick turnover of dishes and the selection is larger than most chinese buffets. On Sundays there are more authentic dishes if you're into trying something new.

wide variety and very fresh selection. We have visited a lot of Chinese buffets in the northern suburbs and have found C 1 to have the largest and freshest selection. We visited on a Friday night around 6:30 and were seated right away. The dining room has ample space and there are about 5 service "islands" with food in addition to the Mongolian barbeque. I started off with steamed rice, broccoli/chicken, orange chicken, green beans, roasted chicken and some egg rolls. Each and every item was fresh, hot and exceptionally tasty. Next I visited the barbeque (which happens to have the largest selection of the various other restaurants I have visited). I selected my items but didn't know what sauces to put on it, so I asked the chef to make it up for me. Because he knows what he is doing, he did an excellent job, and the flavors were fantastic. Though I do not like seafood, they also serve a variety of items such as crab, shrimp, sushi, etc.

We had along our 20 month old son, and he was happy with the pizza and mashed potatoes. For dessert, I enjoyed their selection of 8 flavors of Blue Bunny ice cream.

The service was fast and friendly. Our dishes were promptly removed and our glasses always kept full. The check came before we knew it.

We are done searching for a Chinese buffet and will make C 1 the place we visit from now on.
