Pretty Poor. Food was average at best. Wine sucked. Got seated right away on a Friday night. So that was neat. Unfortunately that was primarily because there was no one there. Except at the bar. Was delighted when we got our calamari right away. Unfortunately our entrees arived approximately 7 seconds later. Food was decent, but nothing to get excited about. We weren't even offered desert. Felt very rushed. Spent somewhere between $80-$90 for a 40 minutes experience. I'm pretty sure this place wont be around much longer.…
Could be great. This is a pretty, pretty restaurant. The location is good too. Front of house staff are great! Kitchen, however, needs to step up. The roasted winter veggie salad was awful, veggies were not roasted they were darn near raw. Flavorless cheese on top. It should be served on a plate not in a bowl. Raviolis were inedible and the tomato ragout thin and drowned in garlic, I sent the whole mess back and had the Salmon, and it was delicious even though on the precipice of overdoneness. The polenta cake was lovely. My Husband's braised beef had great flavor but was overcooked, the scalloped potatoes had a lovely texture but were bland. The Brussel sprouts were brilliant! The chocolate cake was apparently baked last week and sat in a dry corner until served to us. Also inedible. Does anyone taste this stuff before it goes out? This place has potential but whoever is monitoring quality control needs a swift kick in the drawers.…
waited one hour for food - never came.
Went to Harry's bar Minneapolis day of play offs - told waiter we were going to game he took order - said no problem to be fed before game - food never came - waiter kept on saying food was coming
- was just about to be served- dont believe them!
We left - no apologies and no complimentary drinks…
Elegant setting with a casual experience. Close to Guthrie.Tasty food.. I've eaten at Harrys a few a times and have always found their food, ambiance, and friendly service to be an added perk of seeing a show at the Guthrie. Its the perfect distance to catch a cocktail during intermission or an appetizer if you have more time. Their burgers are great also !…
Given 2 incorrect entrees. We (party of 4) visited Harrys on Valentines Day 2009 for some good food and drink and couldnt have been more disappointed with the food. I recommended the potroast to my brother inlaw because I had order it on a previous visit and found it to be quite delicious. I talked him into the Bistro Steak, afterall it was a hotdish with green beans, how do you beat that? Well here is how you dont beat it; we received steak and mixed veggies, no hotdish, no green bean garnish with pickeled onions. We asked our waiter about the mac and cheese etc, he advised us that they were out of mac and cheese. Would have been nice to know before we ordered the dish. Honestly, thats the first time ive ever received a dish and received an unknown substitute/incomplete entree (the mixed veggies). Frankly, im embarrassed to have recommended Harrys to my family and friends, we wont be back. Several people asked where I was going for Valentines Day, I replied; "Harrys, its great" IVE GOT EGG ALL OVER MY FACE! Dont waste your time at Harry's, neat bar and ambiance, terrible service.....needs management change…
