You know how you enter a gallery so gorgeous and sleek you can't help but marvel how it's an artwork in and of itself? Altered Esthetics is one of those little galleries. The ceilings feel lik they touch the clouds, and giant windows offering sneak-peek views of the city scream "This could be your life, if only you were so lucky." The folks at Altered Esthetics run a tight ship, both as gallery curators and artist nurturers. Their shows are never part of a single vision, but part of the gallery's entire, well, aesthetic. Popular shows have included "The Art of War," "The Art of Horror," and "Comic Book Art," featuring works by local comic-book group the Cartoonist Conspiracy.
