This neighborhood Mediterranean and Mexican restaurant perfectly reflects its refined South Minneapolis surroundings: The owners have paid careful attention to turning this old KFC into a sleek bistro outfitted with wood floors, mission-style furniture and black-and-white photographs that fit right in with the 1920s homes around the corner. Chef and co-owner Juan Juarez Garcia bakes, grills and flash fries with only the freshest ingredients available, all of them natural and most of them organically grown. And he takes as much care with the presentation as he does the preparation, delivering dishes dressed up in things like banana leaves and cilantro chutney.
