I've lived in multiple places with good
Indian, including NYC, and this is easily the best. Great food, not overly salted or loaded with cream, great atmosphere, and great mission. The lunch buffet is also excellent. Highly recommended.

pricey and rich and yummy.
i think they use whole cream in all their dishes because I felt positively overfed after dinner. we got take-out and they were running late with our order, treated us to an hors d'oeuvre while we waited. large and unusual menu of items that will take you off the beaten track for most Indian in this area.

So happy to have it in the neighborhood.
Really good indian food. There are lots of options, including tons of options for vegetarians. The food is fresh and not bathed in grease. The vegetarian sampler dinner was a wonderful assortment of what they have to offer. The atmosphere is pleasant. The service is excellent, albeit a little overzealous at times. All in all, a nice and delicious experience

Lavishly decorated Indian restaurant serves up authetic food and answers to the highest critic (read: Gandhi)..
In Short
Quiet, warm and inviting this Indian restaurant in South Minneapolis is dedicated to revering the life and traditions of Mahatma Gandhi. The family-owned restaurant serves traditional and delicious North Indian dishes, like tandoori cooked to perfecion in the restaurant's clay oven. But those seeking a spiritual adventure go for the menu items created for those on a strict Gandhi diet: spicy and inspiring vegetarian dishes that are good for the mind, body and soul and just as pleasing on the palate.
