Perfect service and a very refreshing relaxing day that included a style wax and pedI
Amazing Cut and Color ALL THE TIME!!!. I know that I can always count on the stylist at Ta's to LISTEN to what I like and want, yet have their own input on what would look good and hold up the best. I have NEVER had a bad experience here and will always come back - these girls are AMAZING and I love them! The place is ALWAYS clean, staff is ALWAYS friendly and you get one on one time and attention. You will always walk out feeling Absolutely Incredible!!!! Thank you girls!!!
Double dipping in wax jar is a Big NO-NO. This salon looks pretty clean but while getting a haircut there which didn't turn out by the way I witnessed 2 stylists double dipping in their wax jar which really grossed me out. I would not recommend getting a wax there unless you don't mind sharing dead skin cells, hair and possibly blood with hundreds of other clients. No thanks for me.
Reasonable Pricing, Excellent Service!!. I came here yesterday because I was really frustrated with the way my regular stylist had razored my hair. It was long and straight on one side and thin and scraggly on the other. It just looked wrong, and I was kinda irritated since I paid $75 for it. A very nice stylist named Karen, who also mentioned she had 28 yrs experience, totally fixed it!! It was $30! She normally charges $35, which is still not bad, but if you are a first time client she charges $30, very good incentive to try this salon. Also very conveniently located in a central area close to many freeways. I would also like to try their tanning beds sometime!! I highly recommend this salon, especially if you feel like you currently overpay for hair services somewhere else.
Nikta and Ta's salon for waxing. Ta's Salon is a very upscale however very affordable Salon based out of Brooklyn Center. I have been going there for about 4 years to have my chest arms and stomach waxed. Nikta and her crew do an absolutely amazing job at body waxing. I have gone to many other places including jon english and othere more expensive places and honestly nothing compares to Ta's. For a five star experience at a two star price, Ta's is the place.
The Best Haircut I've Ever Had!. Ta's Salon is a pretty place and it was my first time there. I asked for Nikta because according to the other reviews she knows how to cut Asian hair very well. As she was cutting my hair, she told me all this information on Asian hair, and that it was difficult to cut. She also told me on how to take care of my hair and she did very well for only have a cup of coffee out of the whole day. I showed her the hair cut I wanted and told her I wanted to grow it out as well, and she set my haircut up for that. The only downside is that she is rather expensive because she is the trainer, but she really gave me the haircut I wanted.
Great service & dedicated to their community.
I went to Ta's because they were holding a fundraiser for the domestic violence shelter I work at. All proceeds earned that day were going to be donated to my organization. Stacie gave me a fantastic haircut - even a month and a half later it's still super-easy to style and lays perfectly. She also gave me a great brow wax and I came back several days later for a partial highlight (also looks great!).
I definitely recommend Stacie and I have to say that the whole salon is fantastic as well. In addition to being clean and professional, the fact that their whole staff donated an entire day's work to supporting their local domestic violence program speaks volumes about their integrity as a business and commitment to giving back to their community.
Other good points: It seemed like everyone there the two times I was there were returning customers - there is an atmosphere of friendship in the salon. Also, their diverse, experienced staff offers a breadth of expertise on all styles and hair textures.
Not as good as it first appears. I was looking for somewhere closer to home to get a good haircut, the place looks nice and I was happy to learn about Ta's. I read the reviews and was excited to have Stacie cut my hair at short notice. What a disappointment! The first thing she did was criticize my previous haircut - by an award-winning, long-time stylist. I'd never go anywhere else if he wasn't over an hour away and have made the drive to get a good style. I tried working with my hair the way Stacie "fixed" it for a week and it just would not lay right. I ended up going to one of the inexpensive shops because I couldn't afford another "good" haircut so soon, only to find out just how crooked Stacie had cut it. Some "fix!" I have since found a real quality cut just down the road and around the corner from Ta's. I will never go back to Ta's!
A different kind of nail salon.. My husband and I go to get pedicures every couple of weeks. We found Ta's was right in our back yard and we didn't even know it. The salon staff are very nice and the salon is beautiful and incredibly clean. The owner Chad greeted us at the front desk. Chad and my husband talked the entire time about the Brooklyn Center community. It nice to see a business succeeding in Brooklyn Center!
The Owner Can Cut !. I've been going to see Nikta since Ta's Salon opened in 2007. I recently seen a review that stated "Owner Can't Cut". This could not be further from the truth. Nikta is great! My entire family see her now and we have zero complaints. I truly think some people are jealous of her talents. To all the people at Ta's Salon, Keep up the great work and success will be yours.
