Best thin crust and cozy friendly atmosphere around!. I was introduced to Carbone's sausage pizza by my father when I was about 6 years old and living in West St. Paul. It was always a special treat when dad went to pick up a tantelizing sausage pizza at the original Carbone's pizzeria. I was thrilled to find a Carbone's in the city of Lexington when I moved here as an adult 14 years ago. I tried every pizza place in the city (and there are many) but none compare to the delightfully cracker thin crust and flavor of Carbone's sauce and sausage. It really brought me back to the special childhood memories of the perfect pizza. The staff are like family and they work very hard to please and if you happened to have a bad experience, please give it another try!!! The flavor of Carbones' pizza is spectacular. I am always torn between a sausage, onion and pineapple or the pizza alfredo, or the hot hoagies! They also have a great deck and specials that are not on the regular menu. The do an awesome Chicken Marsala and other italian specialties. If I wasn't so hooked on their sausage, I would try everything on the menu. It scores the highest rating with me, and the owners, if you are dissatisfied, will do everything they can to make you a happy and returning customer!

Best Food Around. This is not your typical Pizzeria, the atmosphere is cozy and up north feeling in this log cabin restaurant. The outside deck is the perfect place to enjoy lunch or dinner on a nice summer day/night!

There is a great variety of food, not just pizza, the menu showcases pasta, burgers, sandwiches, specialty dinners and a full bar. We have tried just about everything on the menu and there isn't ANYTHING we wouldn't recommend to a friend. The food is excellent.

The staff is always friendly, courteous and knowledgeable.

Definitely a place to check out!

Lousy service/poor quality. We visited Carbone's in Lexington on a Monday night. They were not busy and the restaurant was not full. Service was atrocious! Our waitress made no attempt to ever follow up on the quality (or lack thereof) of the food. She promised to fill our drinks but took 15 minutes before she returned.

She dropped off the bill but never bothered to return to pick up a credit card. We finally had to go to the bar to pay. We could have left without paying and she probably wouldn't have even known (or missed us).

The food is rather expensive and is not that good.

I've been to Carbone's before and it used to be better. It seems to have gone drastically downhillI. I will not be returning and would encourage others to take your hard earned money to a different restaurant where the food and service are better.

Good pizza, good value. My wife and I ate here for the first time earlier this evening. The restaurant has a fairy small seating area, with a cozy log cabin motif. The available pizzas are thin crust, Sicilian (thick), and Chicago (deep dish).

Our Sicilian style pizza had a good amount of cheese, nice sauce, and good tasting sausage not too spicy. The sausage portions were on the skimpy side. Firm, good tasting crust one of the best Ive tasted. A few wines, but good value none more that $15 a bottle. They also have a large menu selection of pastas, Calzones, and sandwiches.

Service was a tad slow and the dining room was a bit noisy.

I am still looking for a superb pizza in the Twin Cities area. This may not be it, but it is close.
