Great place to bring the kids. Abundant activities- great raspberry and apple picking, hay rides and great caramel apples! The previous reviewer about it being expensive is way off base. The $2 admission is well worth it.

Overall, it Afton Apple Orchard is a very fun place to visit. I am disappointed that they have started charging admission to get in. Especially since most of the activities like the petting zoo, playground, etc... are geared towards kids. But, I like going here because not many of the orchards actually allow you to go and pick the apples yourself if you want to. The kids love doing that. They also have yummy raspberries. A good place to visit on a beautiful fall day.

Afton Apples is so much more than just an apple orchard. In the spring, they have pick your own strawberries and in the fall besides apples, they have raspberries (several different types) and pumpkins. They have a petting zoo and on the weekends during the fall, they have other entertainment as well. You can ride a hayride to the apples, or you can walk. After you have picked your apples, you can buy something to eat inside or let the kids play on the playground. They have started charging admission in the fall, but it is so worth it.
