Comparison Shopper. I live in Bloomington and was recently shopping around for a good vacuum to replace my worthless Dyson. I checked out Lakeville Vacuum, Al's Vacuum and Johnston's Sales and Service. HUGE difference between these 3 stores. Sure, you can buy a vacuum at Al's if you don't mind the incredibly annoying sales guys nipping at your heels and following you around the store. And sure, you can spend $900-- after all, SOMEBODY has to support that Taj Mahal he's got over there! As for me, I ended up at Johnston's Sales and Service-- they not only carry the same vacuums as Al's and Lakeville, they will beat any price in town. There was absolutely no pressure to buy anything! After talking to the very knowledgeable owner about the kinds of floors I have, he gave me some great options and I decided what I thought would be best for me. I love this place!
great mechanic. My hoover wind tunnel's self propelled feature was broken and Lakeville vac fixed very reasonably. so many places just want to sell you a new machine so I was very pleased to have the vaccum I liked repaired quickly and proffessionally.
Don't buy Hoover products here!. Just sent my husband to Lakeville vacuum to buy bags for my Hoover Platinum upright and they charged 3 times the price of any other vacuum store. If you need service or products stay away from here and go to Al's Vacuum in Bloomington. What a tremendous rip off and they don't do refunds so I'm stuck! Shame on you Lakeville vacuum for ripping people off in such a tight economy. I won't be back!!
