Average wines - Terrible customer service

Recently, a girlfriend and I left the kids with our husbands so we could go enjoy a kid-free afternoon tasting (and possibly buying) a few bottles at this winery in Stillwater. As it turns out, I've had dental visits that were less painful and more enjoyable. The people behind the counter (two boys, one of whom was particularly condescending and just plain rude, and another who acted like he didn't want to be there) did not explain what the $5 tasting fee got us, and couldn't be bothered to pour once we paid the fee. They didn't smile, didn't try to market the wines, didn't engage in any sort of conversation with anyone at the counter. In this economy, they should've been doing backflips that we were there at all. Next time, we'll drive the extra miles and visit the St. Croix Vineyards instead, where the service is always friendly and the customers are actually appreciated.

Poor Quality Business Owner

I was part of the party of 8 that was given poor customer service from the owner himself. We are a group of women that get together twice yearly to tour wineries. We have a lot of fun doing it and certainly enjoy our wine. We are all outgoing people so you can bet that we are busy spreading the word about good places to check out as well as the bad ones (you would think he would know that word of mouth is huge). This was definitely an unfortunate experience as the owner did not have the time of day for us. Too bad he did not realize we had three cases of wine in the back of our limo already. His body language and verbal language told a complete story. He did not think we were worth wasting his time. It was very apparent as well that other customers that came in were not worth his time either based on his "window shoppers" comment. Starting to wonder who he thinks his customer really is? I think he has lost site of the fact that customer service and a great product are what makes someone a customer.

very poor customer service

8 of us arrived and were given a partial tour when the owner realized we were not part of a party of 18 that had made reservations he made the comment "great I just wasted my time" We then went to try some of the wines and he wouldn't acknowledge us standing there or help in making suggestions and obvious he wanted us to leave. We left without making any purchases and our goal was to leave with cases. We had been to 2 other wineries that day and what a difference in service. Owner had also made the comment about window shoppers. Did not understand why we were given the cold/rude service.
