What People Are Saying About Savories European Bistro

In Short – The daytime sandwich crowd is replaced by couples and friends tasting exquisitely crafted nouveau wines at night. The soothing, soulful sounds of Ray Charles and Louis Armstrong win out over the afternoon's pop and folk. The menu and cuisine change every few weeks, but favorites include walleye fingerlings with confetti corn cakes; herb-infused roasted lamb over couscous; and extraordinary creamy vegetable risotto with herbs, balsamic vinegar and white wine. – –
Lake Elmo and Stillwater need
by Stcroix01 at Citysearch
more places that serve breakfast during the week. We live in Lake Elmo but we are running out of good lunch and breakfast options. I was with my sister from the other side of town and she was shocked that stillwater did not have more good choices. Food was ok but service was slow. I think they need more of a selection on there current menu.
- Pros: beautiful Stillwater
- Cons: food
Does not live up to its rating

After reading all the good reviews, we decided to try Savories for New Years Eve. What a disappointment. I ordered lamb cooked medium rare and it was served beyond well done - overcooked, dry and tasteless. And it was the last portion in the restaurant, so they were not able to replace it. After essentially ruining New Years Eve dinner, we were offered a $10 gift certificate that we could use on our next visit. I am not likely to drive 30 miles from Minneapolis to get a $10 discount on a meal at a restaurant that wasn't all that good the first time. This restaurant really does not qualify to be on a list of destination spots for dining. And don't believe the single dollar sign in the codes for prices - dinner is much more expensive than you would expect with only one dollar sign in the description.
- Pros: Nice Setting
- Cons: Food not prepared as ordered.

in early '04 they may not have been hitting just right but the last year and a half has allowed savories to become one of the better restaurants in the twin cities. food is great the desserts will send you to heaven. dont rely on outdated reviews!
- Pros: staff , food
- Cons: parking, no outside seats

Savories is a great place to meet friends for wine & food. Their menu is innovative & creative, wine selection is wonderful. Desserts are to die for! I highly recommend Savories as a place to go on a regular basis. I'm never disappointed!
- Pros: new menus, friendly staff, delicious food
Holy Cow!

Great eating. Service can be slow, but it is more than made up for by the food. Ask for a window seat by the standard oil station - pretty good people watching during the summer.
I'm now a member of the dessert of the month club. I just love this place.
Bring back the plantanos. Madros es muy loco!
- Pros: Food, Ambiance, Madros es muy loco!
- Cons: Service, Price
