After waiting for service for a long time I had to ask for a menu, I asked the waitress to take my order, I asked about the order when it never came....and when it did it was cold because they had made it so long before and it had just been sitting out on the counter, being ignored by the waitresses just like I was. Then I asked for the food to be heated up. All of this took forever. The waitresses didn't seem to think there was anything wrong with this picture.
What happened to PD Pappy's service??????. My wife and I bought a new Harley last summer. As with many bikers have, we discovered PD Pappy's and started frequenting the establishment about 3-4 times per week. We just fell in love with the place. It got to the point that when we walked in, the wait staff recognized us and brought us our preferred beverages with a simple "the usual?" We have been counting down the days until our favorite bar opened up in May. Tonight was our first chance to take our much anticipated trip to PD's. All I can say is WHAT HAPPENED? The service was horrible! We walked in and sat down and was ignored by 5 employees for 15 minutes (we were practically the only ones there). Then a waitress came over and asked us what we wanted, we ordered and she went to ask the bar tender if they had what we wanted and she said yes, and they both went their separate ways. The bar tender reading her paper at the end of the bar and talking to two males standing there. After 20 minutes, we got up and left. We will not return.
Drinking only. If you are looking for a great place to eat, PD Pappy's is not the place. If you are looking to show off your motorcycle, kick back and watch the boats come and go, or meet cool people, then PD Pappy's is the place to go. Stick to the drinks. The food is really horrible.
Not Impressed.
I had high hopes for P D Pappy's. Unfortunately, the greatness ends once you get past the environment. Our service was horrible. The waitress barked at us when we commented that a burger was undercooked. "Unless you specify, we cook them medium-well!" This wasn't mentioned beforehand, but the point was moot anyway because the center of the burger was red - more like medium rare than medium well. The fries were soggy and barely warm. The food was not good.
A band was playing that night and though they sounded good, the music was much too loud for the tiny space.
The server later hung over my shoulder as I settled our tab, which goes beyond being rude. I would not recommend this place to anyone. There are much better places to visit in Stillwater. McDonalds has better food.
