A short drive from the Twin Cities, this stately Italianate Victorian Inn and stone Carriage House reside on an estate in the middle of old Stillwater. As you stroll through the huge pines that accent this lovely property, it is easy to imagine the elegant, bucolic lifestyle of those who lived here decades ago.

The Details
Visitors can choose from seven guest rooms and suites decorated in Victorian, Art Deco, Country French and Southwest styles. All have private baths and feature such niceties as fireplaces, double whirlpools and balconies. A double parlor in the main house displays extensive collections of decorative art and the carriage house has a TV and a library of romantic movies. Refreshments are offered upon arrival and breakfast is served in four courses. Fruit is followed by fresh baked scones, an entree such as Eggs Benedict and a dessert like raspberry sorbet.
