"What a SHAME". First of all as I was waiting in the room for my appointment trying to relax there was workers talking about there money problems. Come on I am there to relax!! My time was 2:00 at 2:20 the therapist came in late, she was on of the woman talking about her problems. I went for the stone therapy massage, the therapist did not even introduce herself or ask my name. Bad sign!! Then came back in the room started did not even try to get me relaxed. I have had massages for years some great and some not that great but this was at the bottom!! I walked out of there so sorry I went. I will never go agian or buy another gift card for anyone. I live in Stillwater but I will drive to Mpls. for the next time I want a massage. Come on do you not care who works for you?? Nice place but I should have opened the window and tossed $110.00 out.
Poor Customer Service. I purchased the Couples Escape for $375 + tip for my fiance and me in February. It was rather expensive but the facial was very nice. However, I do not recommend this place because of a rather unfortunate experience that happened after the fact. I just called Just For Me to purchase a similar package for my sister and me for her 30th birthday. I was looking at the packages on the website while I was on the phone with their manager Jennifer(name?) and I noticed that I had never received the Spa Gift Package that was supposed to come with my Couples Escape package. I mentioned this to her as I was about to book my next package and she said there was nothing she could do about it because it was after the appointment date. I told her that I was just now looking closer at the description of the package and that she could look in her computer schedule to see that I was, in fact, there previously (plus on my Visa bill!). She said sorry she could not give me the Spa Gift at this time. Again I assured her that I was not trying to cheat her, only obtain what should have been given to me by her receptionist upon checkout. She was unwilling to help me. I am a frequent spa-goer of spas around the Twin Cities and I chose not to make my appointment with Just For Me for my sister?s birthday because of this. This is the first time I have not recommended a spa. I am very upset over this treatment considering I spent $450+ and was about to spend another $400 if she hadn't been so unaccommodating. Although the treatments may be nice here, their customer service is lacking.
Great haircut, color & service!!. I love this place! I have had my hair done in a lot of salons but this was by far the best. And I was able to get an appointment with only a few days notice. Right when I walked in the receptionist was very friendly. My stylist was awesome! She was very helpful with her recommendations & she took the time to listen to what I want & more importantly what I didn't want. It is a great cut, maybe even the best. And the highlights are beautiful! When you wait for the color to develop you can sit in one of their fabulous massage chairs & just relax. My stylist also helped me pick great products that are suited for my hair type. I can't wait for my next hair appointment!
An afternoon at this log-cabin getaway will leave you feeling as if you've just had a week's vacation..
In Short
In scenic Stillwater, this spa offers an alluring blend of log-cabin simplicity and luxurious amenities. The rustic decor--featuring wood, stone and nature-themed watercolors--lends the kind of small-town serenity that day-tripping soccer moms and bridal parties seek. Treatment rooms are clean and bare, filled with piped-in Celtic music and a hint of herbal fragrance. Because the whirlpool is communal--and visible through a glass door--patrons seeking a soak should bring a bathing suit. The charming, private dining room features a balcony and porch swing.
Always excellent!. I've visited twice, have had haircuts, hilites, and brow sculpting. I've had different people each time, as I don't specify any one in particular, and both times have been pampered-would I like a beverage, would I like a magazine, is the water temp good, etc. My hair cuts were both terrific, and I have the best hair color ever, and I have been to many costly Twin Cities salons. Strangers literally comment on what a great color I have. They managed to lighten and hilite very dark hair without brassiness, which is quite a coup. They even have lovely massage chairs to sit in while you wait for your color to develop. It's a chore to try to stay awake, it is so relaxing. Everyone has been so pleasant and friendly, it's like chatting with a group of best friends, no attitude in the whole crew. In fact, the stylists are best friends outside of work, too, which adds to the relaxed, comfortable vibe. I hesitate to post a great review as I like keeping the place a bit of a secret; it's not too hard to get in, and they have excellent evening and weekend hours. But they are great and they deserve congrats. Also, the salon is lovely; old-world style furniture, a Tuscany feel, vs. the harsh chrome and glass so many have used that do nothing to relax you. I love this place!
Loud Staff. Very opinionated desk person. Very disruptive desk girl last year. Asked her about massages for a friend that was undergoing chemo. She started talking about her experiences and how they wouldn't want that and her friend didn't want to be touched when she was going through that. I didn't care about her friend. I wanted assistance on nice package. She was completely unprofessional.
