The Scene
In winter Wild Mountain is known for its ski area, but in summer it's a multifaceted outdoor amusement center, with five water slides, two alpine "dry" slides and a go-cart track. Water slides include the 400-foot Big Country and Super Shoot slides; the 148-foot Black Hole, an underground slide that will take you 4.5 heart-pounding seconds to ride; and the 400-foot enclosed Hydro-Tube. Looking for something a little tamer? Lazy River is a meandering 1,500-foot inner-tube float. The park also has several kiddie slides and a wading pool.
