Tips for Hinding Company Heating & Air

Woke up on coldest day of the year, furnace out. Of course. Called other shops who couldn't come out for hours. Called Hinding, and they sent a guy within 30 minutes. No nonesense; he found the problem and fixed it immediately. Heat within an hour of calling them, and the entire cost of the service call, replacement part, and repair was a little over $200. Outstanding service and value. They are now my HVAC service choice.

Great Experience. We had our furnace and air conditioning unit replaced by Hinding earlier this month.

I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Their rates were competitive.

They were very fast (5 hours start to finish). I hardly even knew they were there. They were efficient.

The two gentleman who came to do the work were very polite and knowledgeable and their manager even came out to say hello to me and inspect the work.

They did a great job and I am very very happy with the results.

Miscommunications Were Resolved Quickly. They don't honor their warranties. I called them to get my furnace fixed as it was not working properly (they had installed it and it was under warranty with them). After a week of living in a house that was below 60 degrees, they were able to come out to fix it. They would only come sooner if it was not running at all. The problem was fixed but then I was given a bill. They claimed the furnace was working fine and they only did a tune up which is not covered by the warranty (despite reassuring me several times that it would be covered by the warranty when I called them initially). It seems they will tell you anything to get their foot in your door so they can start charging you; warranty or no warranty.

**EDIT**: Since the time this was posted. All issues stated above were resolved very quickly and professionally.

Integrity and Service!. In January ’10 I purchased a Furnace/Central AC from Hinding Company. Prior to choosing Hinding, I met with 5 other companies, all of which also offer top of the line HVAC brands. The pricing between the 6 companies was competitive so that wasn't a deciding factor.

I chose Hinding Company because 1) they are a local company who have been in business for many years, 2) they back their equipment with outstanding parts & labor warrantees and 3) Brian, the company's representative, is a person of integrity. I trust the information he provided me and believe the company will be available should I need service or repairs in the future. Brian is also a person with outstanding follow-through. He is always quick to respond to an email or phone call. This is very reassuring when making such a major purchase If anyone is considering a furnace/ac purchase, I would be glad to provide a reference for Hinding Company.

GREAT JOB. Thanks for the great job. You arrived as I leaving for work at 7 am and my husband called before 3pm that the new thermostat,furnace,air conditioner and air puriffier were all installed and working..You are a very professional group ,we had 2 other estimate appts set up but after Brian looked everything over and gave us a quote we decided to go with "the guys in the neighborhood". We had previously dealt with Bucky and always had good service, so decided not to bother with other estimates. Everything was cleaned up and all old equiptment taken away, wouldn't have known you were there if it wasn't for new equiptment.

Great Service. I recently had a new furnace installed. Hinding came out and did a good job at a great price. Their prices beat the competition, and they installed the same products as companies that charge more. They did an excellent job of putting in the new furnace. They disposed of the old one and cleaned up the mess . They are very professional and have excellent customer service. I can call the office any time with any question and they answer it promptly and respectfully. I’m glad I chose Hiding and would recommend them to any one.

Efficient, clean and professional installation. Working with Hinding was very easy as communication was timely and installation was painless! Brian kept us informed and answered all our questions. The installers knew what they were doing and completed the job in a timely manner. They even cleaned up after. All in all a good experience.

Good, reliable, honest service. We have done business with Hinding for many years and have found their service to be honest and very reliable. One of the pros for us is that we see the same serviceman every time. He knows our system very well and we don't have to take time explaining anything. We use them for regular maintenance and an occasional repair.

00PS!. I was very surprised that Hinding would put in a $125.00 thermostat in an old building with an old boiler. In that there is no cooling with a Hot Water boiler, why have it put in a thermostat which has cooling control, and why such a sophisticated piece of equipment.

Customer Service. We had a problem with our central air conditioner this summer and had to have a service call on it. In calling the company that originally installed it a few years ago we discovered they have since gone out of business. Not knowing who else to call we asked around and were referred to Hinding Heating & Air Conditioning. They not only came out promptly and resolved our problem but also honored our remaining warranty. The gentleman that came to our house had to come out twice in fact and never once acted like it was an inconveience for him to do so. Hinding obviously went out of their way to satisfy us. I will recommend them to anyone that I know needs any kind of heating or air conditioning service in the future. Great job guys.
