Great neighborhood cafe, good food, relaxing, attentive staff. Had a wonderful Sunday lunch here recently. Nice selection enjoyable and healthy food including vegetarian options. And the wait staff could not be more friendly and helpful. Relaxing environment with sun pouring in large windows and a lot of exciting chatter from other patrons.

I must say the previous review seemed to me to be mean spirited. It is important for the reviews here to tell the good and bad points of a place, but it shouldn't sound like a vendetta unless there is just cause.

OK Food, served with a bad attitude.. This place used to be a cool, hip place with great food and well meaning but capable staff trying to get their lives back on course. On the weekends the lines were out the door. Over the years its been remodeled and they have tried to keep the character but now its just a run of the mill family restaurant. The food is ordinary and the wait staff now seem like they want to make YOUR life tougher for a change. So it's not surprising that the the lines are no more. Try the Garlic fries - a helping of not-so-exciting french fries with a pile of minced garlic from a jar thrown on top. Great place to bring your kids and let them run around the place and scream all they want. The staff wont object and they wont mind if you never decide to come back again.

A neighborhood staple. If you live on W 7th this is your neighborhood breakfast spot. The lunch and dinner is fantastic too. Everything is fresh and top quality. Great coffee. One of the best patios in town. Everybody in this place has personality - a good thing! Love the menus!

Come for the Patio!. The Day by Day Cafe is a good place to go when you want to relax and grab a bite to eat. Grab a seat on the patio and unwind while listening to the whistling birds and the trickling fountain pond. Their breakfast is delicious without being too greasy, and their dinner has generous portions to satisfy the hungriest patron. -And they have excellent coffee to cap of any meal. Come for the Patio, stay for the food!

Yummy! Best patio!. Big menu with variety and yummy food. I love the tuna in an avacado in the summer. The burrito is tasty as are all breakfast items.

Patio is perfect, hidden from traffic with a pond and trees and flowers and birds. I could sit there all day.

Street parking is not difficult to find.

I love this place!. The perfect place to go mull over coffee with friends or study for your next final, Day by Day Cafe proves that you don't have to be elegant to be great. The unapologetically-shabby decor makes you feel right at home, down to the menus that are hand-crayoned by elementary students at local schools. A sturdy, all-American menu with all the old favorites- breakfast with old-fashioned hashed browns is available all day - completes the "security blanket" feel that you get while you're in Day by Day. The staff is equally unpretentious and familiar, and contributes to the laid-back, unobtrusive attitude of the place. A great choice for a quiet Sunday afternoon, or any time of the week.
