BEST BEER & BURGER JOINT AROUND.
They have the best burgers by far. Fresh hamburger and great buns. They always have sports on their TVs and play great music. Ask for the Cinnamon Whiskey (if there's any left). Prices are also very reasonable. They have breakfasts on the weekends...try the Walleye Opener. I never thought that eggs, potatoes and grilled walleye would go togther. What a suprise. YUM

Last of a dying breed.
Since the smoking ban went into effect, this place has lost over 40% of its business. The food is great, the waitstaff are attentive and very helpful. The place is perfect and sadly enough is dying off at a fast clip because it is losing so much business. Deals abound at this location and it is definitely worth saving. With an old-time feel, the location, service and quality this restaurant is worth the trip!!

very warm.
This is a really comfortable bar, comparable to McGoverns or Groveland Tap. The location is perfect (you feel, for once, in a downtown), the inside warm and inviting. Bar standards are fine. Beer selection was very nice. I only have two gripes. First, the exit door has no vestibule so there is a draft when it opens. Second, there is no drink menu and when I asked for "something with coffee and Amaretto," that is exactly what I got, a cup of java with amaretto in it, and not very much either. But this did not really detract from my experience, and the waitress was almost too attentive. Happy hour deals are very good. One problem that bothered my wife: the bar is smokey.
