For a first timer, I couldn't be happier with my hair cut or my hair stylist. Rosalyn was my hair stylist and she knew exactly what I wanted. Sure, I went in only for a trim/fix, but she went above my expectations. She was kind, witty, and very professional. Her ideas and suggestions were right-on and fabulous. The atmosphere of the salon was very welcoming (kudos to the receptionists! I talked to Kelsey) and chic. The prices for a professional cut are extremely reasonable, which, for the professionalism I received and the kind people I met will be the reason I go back. There's no better deal than going in expecting a haircut and coming out with a new do and a smile to match. Thanks guys! I was super impressed!

Bryan Rahn....Hair Therapist, not Terrorist!. I live the dream life, a legit double life! By day I am a very visible and active Community Activist and Organizer as well as work with Policy Makers and in Higher Ed settings in instruction and oversight. My off time, I am an "anything goes, go big or go home" active fun Mom. I always believe that you're appearance she be a reflection of you and compliment your natural beauty, sprit, energy and capture the unique characteristics of YOU inside and out! What does this have to do with 526 and Bryan?????

I have been going to Bryan for almost 2 years after 2 years of searching for a new stylist who could work with my hair thats as wild as I can be, and honestly, as difficult! ;) I have always had very long, thick and unevenly textured/wavy hair my whole life. Cutting it off, and especially getting the "Mom cut" was not even something I would consider but always suggested to me by other stylists. Why? Because thats easiest for them in terms of working with my type of hair which also did not compliment my looks nor my lifestyle. I had many "cuts" of my long style that always left me teary and devastated. Going to work in a suit with uneven layers looked raggedy and outside of work the "updo" was my only option.

Last July I had a significant health issue that took me out of "the game" for a minute. I decided I wanted to do something REALLY DIFFERENT and was worried about how could I pull it off and still be accepted as a professional and with others in the community who can be evaluative based on appearance. Believe it or not, my long, black wavy hair, was transformed into gorgeous small locks of curl....I have had them for a year now and to this day, I am stopped atleast once to ask about my hair, and to tell me how gorgeous it is and the best part, I love hearing "It's really YOU! It just sets you off!"....Thats what I and others should expect by a stylist / artist! At age 35, it's wonderful to hear that and to have others even in a work setting compliment what is sometimes seen as an "alternative style" speaks volumes to the appearance and care of my style and the work done with my hair. By the way, the upkeep of my hair is very easy and requires products the salon does not carry but they are ALWAYS happy to get them and they are a better price than special ordering and always the right product to maintain my style and compatible with my hair, scalp and styling needs.

About Bryan....Bryan IS my hair!!!!! Bryan is a very fun, funny, warm and approachable person but the best part he is a REALIST! He will not let you sit in his chair and rattle off what you want and simply do it with out discussing to make sure you get maybe not what you want or think, but you leave looking and feeling great and able to do it once you get home. Many times I said what I wanted and was quiet in the chair when he said "no way" but when I let him do what he does best, I have never been less than AMAZED! A good stylist like Bryan would and should HELP you come up with your own look and thats great for you, your lifestyle and your type of hair...

Bryan spends as much times as he needs with me, he's never late, never double books or tries to tend to 2 people at once rushing his work with myself or another and his rates are VERY reasonable for the quality and intensity of work and his skill set and expertise.....

I am a service and quality critic big time! I started writing reviews on these sites after too many bad experiences in various establishments and on the flip side really good experiences that I think other people should be able to check out....any place can write whatever they want on their own site..... I like the "real time" feedback on here...if I could give 10 stars I would give them a full 10....

Thanks Bryan and 526....not sure if you guys see these, I'll mention it when I'm back in there in about 2 months, you deserve to know that you get some kudos....

BEST SALON EVER. I love everything about 526. It's trendy without being pretentious. Whether you just want a classic style or something new, 526 can work it out. I've been going here for something like 2-3 years and I don't think I will ever leave.

The staff is friendly. The ladies at the front desk are always attentive. The stylist I see, Tara, is awsome. Somehow she always knows just what I want. I have NEVER recieved a bad cut or color. Quite the opposite. I am always impressed with her work. And she always let's me know of new styles and products that I might like without pushing for the most expensive thing, but what works for me.

My favorite part is getting my hair washed though. The head massage is to die for. You guys know what I'm talking about, right? aaaaaaaah.

Go see Tara. She is phenom.

Angela is the best - very talented. I have been seeing Angela for many years, and everyone who I recommend her to is still a client as well. She listens to what her clients want, and is extremely talented as an artist. She can easily create great style for someone with long hair or short hair, and her up-dos for bridal parties are her signature. Angela is a class act professionally. 526 Salon provides a wonderful environment, and with a great stylist, this salon is home.

AWESOME Haircut from Roz!!!. I went to 526 Salon today and saw Roz. Not only was she extremely professional, but she was fun, conversational, and knew exactly what I was asking for. I came in with a ponytail, so I was a bit of a mess and I left looking like a rockstar. She told me that she is fairly new-just 4 months-moved here from out of state and is re-establishing her clientele here. She gave me a fantastic shampoo/massage and the haircut was probably one of the best that I've ever had. Also, the way she styled my hair was perfect. Since she is new, the price was more than reasonable-I was shocked!

I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a new stylist. Go see Roz!!! You won't be disappointed!

Modern Salon Great Service Provider. As soon as you step in the door at fivetwosix you feel like you're in a "cool" place filled with lots of energy. Hard to explain the feeling so you probably should just walk in and look at some product if you've never been inside.

I am a guy in my twenties and have been a customer for almost two years. I consider myself a usual haircut client and don't tell my friends but I often get some grey coverage done too.

What I like about Tara as my service provider is that she will rinse my head after the cut so I don't have little pieces of cut hair all over the rest of the day. I mentioned this during my first cut and she has remembered to do this every time. Not sure if it is because of my request or a service she does for all male clients but it is a little extra work that goes a long way for me. She also keeps a little bit of grey so it looks like I don't get my hair colored but I also don't look like a middle-aged mafia boss withed silver sideburns and a dark top. This is all by request of course I'm sure most people probably don't want any grey after their color

Check this place out, you will feel good when you step inside and look great when you leave!

Best salon I've ever been to. I've been going to 526 for about 3 years now. It is by far the best salon I've been to and by far the most professional. I have always been treated professionally and friendly by the front desk staff. They have busy jobs, but they keep it all straight and I've never had a problem with making my appointments, being checked in or checked out, and they know the products they sell too.

My stylist does a fantastic job on my hair. She took the time to learn what I like, what I don't like, and what my limits are. And she knows when and how much to push my limits and have me try new things, which she knows can be uncomfortable for me. She is great in instructing me on how to do my hair at home. And she's so friendly and cheerful.

I also go to 526 for waxing, massage and nails. The aestheticism I see is wonderful. She's professional, meticulous, and does amazing work. She's also very friendly and I enjoy my appointments with her.

Bottom line, I recommend this salon to everyone and anyone I know. They are a fantastic staff and do a great job. I've never had a problem there of any sort, and I enjoy going there. Everyone should go!

Too much information. While this is a beautiful space and my haircut turned out fine, my poor review comes from the lack of professionalism. Over the course of my service, I overheard staff talking very inappropriate details of a recent night out, which made me incredibly uncomfortable and frankly, disgusted. When the service was over, the girl who checked me out smelt of alcohol and messed up my transaction twice, really rounding out my bad experience. My disgust with this staff will surely keep me and anyone I know out of this salon.

amazing cut and color. I love my hair! I got a cut and color with Katie and she did such an amazing job. She was really easy to talk to and I loved that she made sure we were on the same page about what I wanted to do with my hair before she began working. Can't wait to go back!

526 rocks. from the moment i walked in the door and realized that this salon sells Bumble & Bumble products, i was hooked.

i had moved to MN from So Cal in the middle of winter and was lucky enough to take a seat in Laura's chair. She is by far the most talented colorist/stylist i have ever dealt with. prices are fair esp when i compare what i used to pay in CA. Laura has transitioned me from being a prego woman wanting to look half-way sexy to a svelt mother of two with a great haircut and awesome color. i am constantly asked "who does your hair". Thank you, Laura!
