The food here is awesome. I can't find better Fried Rice anywhere in the Twin Cities...except it's a bit expensive. Like $9.50 for a large container of it. But it really is awesome. I find myself getting takeout at least a couple times a month from here.

Don't be fooled by the storefront. My boyfriend and I went here a couple evenings ago. The storefront might seem like a place to stay away from or give pause to, but we decided this night not to judge a book by it's cover and it's a good thing we did. The prices are reasonable and the servings large. My pad thai was tasty and delicious, my boyfriends salmon steak was large and looked very good. He also enjoyed the large serving of broccoli that accompanied it. The food was great, however, the lack of lighting bothered me. Even if there wasn't burnt out lightbulbs, it would still seem like the lighting you'd find in a closed store, for instance. That won't stop me from going back.

great spring rolls & pad thai. It's about the food, not the atmosphere. Try as I might, I can't find better Thai-style spring rolls anywhere. Lao Thai uses a spicy variation of the typical peanut sauce, which is just great.

I usually just get my Thai favorites such as chicken & cashew nuts, pad thai, holy basil supreme, etc. Good prices and generally consistent quality keep me coming back.

mmmmmmmmmm. Their food is really food and it is a great place for big groups. I like how they have lao food and thai food. The price range was excellent too, not too expensive at all! Try it...you will like it!

only Lao restaurant. I did not try the Thai food, but the Lao food was tasty though the menu was small. This was your only chance to sample pure Lao cuisine in the Twin Cities, but now there is a take-out place just down Univeristy called Capitol Deli, that is strictly take-out.
