Delicious food, friendly staff!.
I would never have stopped in this hole-in-the-wall gem if not for some remarkable online reviews. Lagoon as completely lived up to its remarkable reputation.
Just a couple of blocks from the state capitol building, Lagoon isn't much to look at from the outside, but don't judge this restaurant by its storefront. Inside is a comfortable oasis from the hectic pacing of University Avenue. The staff have always been very friendly, even when taking telephone carry-out orders. And the food! The Hot-and-Spicy Chicken is fantastic. (It's not so hot as to burn your mouth, just full of bold flavors.) The egg rolls are crispy and wonderful and come with a delicious dipping fish sauce. All of this comes at very reasonable pricing with most dishes under $10.

Tasty Chow.
This is a favorite lunch stop with friends. Prompt service and food. Good value - Sweet/sour chicken for lunch is good. Hot and Spicy Chicken good too.

Fabulous & Cheap.
The food is always delicious, and I have never finished my meal in one sitting. The food is inexpensive anyways, but since you get two meals for the pice of one is outstanding.

Lagoon is YUMMY.
I love this hidden treasure of Chinese/Vietnamese food. Unfortunately I can't comment on many different dishes, because I usually get the same thing -- the best BBQ Pork in town (and no, it's not like regular BBQ)! Their chicken wings are huge and tasty, and their lunch specials are one of the best bargains in town! The place is hopping at lunchtime but often quiet in the evenings. At night there is not much atmosphere, so I often opt for take-out.
