Here are my thoughts on Saint Paul Yellow Taxi. I have used this company several times over the past two months. The main time that I have asked for rides is when I was taking my cat(s) to the vet. I was never told that I needed to inform them that I was transporting a cat on any of these occasions. On February 1 I ordered a cab 1 hour and 30 minutes ahead of time, because I knew it was a snowy day and would take a while. When the phone was answered at first all I heard was someone yelling orders, and then a very rude greeting after I had been saying "Hello? Hello? Hello?". I then asked for a cab to pick me up at 11:15. Fast forward to 11:15.. I waited until 11:20 and then called the company because no cab had arrived. The phone rang for 3 minutes before someone picked up. I was informed that a cab would arrive in 3 minutes. When the cab arrived it was already 11:25, and I had to be at the appointment at 11:30. The cab driver did not even greet me, he only said that I should have informed the company that I was transporting an animal. I apologized and said I was not aware of that. I also told him that he was 10 minutes late. He said it wasn't his fault and the cab company had only called him 10 minutes ago (remember I requested a cab 1 hour and 30 minutes prior). He said it had nothing to do with him being late, and he didn't want to hear complaints and drove off. No apology. I then proceeded to call the cab company 3 different times, letting the phone ring for 3-4 minutes each time before someone answered. I then informed them that I had ordered a cab 1 hour and 30 minutes ago, that the cab arrived 10 minutes late, and refused to drive me because of the cat and because he didn't want to hear complaints. The cab company staff member did not apologize. All he said was: "You should have told us you had a cat." Again, I have ridden with this company several times with the cat, and this has never been an issue. Nevertheless, I apologized and said that I was sorry that I didn't tell about the cat, but was unaware that I needed to. I also reminded them that regardless, the cab showed up 10 minutes late, and I expected better customer service (e.g. being even mildly polite, apologies for poor service, etc.) The staff member just proceeded to argue with me, and gave excuses saying it was a busy day, and that some people were waiting an 1 hour and 30 minutes for a ride. I proceeded to remind him that I called 1 hour and 30 minutes ahead of time, so effectively, I waited 1 hour and 30 minutes as well. At no point in the conversation did he apologize, or take any responsibility for the poor service offered by the company. This is absolutely unacceptable. Just because you are having a busy day doesn't mean that gives you a license to treat your customers poorly. I will never use this company again, and I would strongly recommend that others avoid this company at all costs.
I've been using them for over 6 months. Every experience has been excellent. The cab drivers are nice and they arrive promptly. Once, I left my lunch in the cab and the driver drove back to return it without a charge. They are more cost effective than the other cab companies I tried before.
Nightmare for Neighbors. This cab company will honk over and over again to get the clients to come outside, be it 2am. They will start honking before they have pulled up to a complete stop. There is no patient waiting or calling of the clients. They will honk over 10 times in a row to get their attention, while waking up/disturbing the rest of the neighborhood. Tactless. Never will I use this company.
They R The Wrost. I REALLY HATE THIS COMPANY EITHER IM GETTING YELLED AT OR HUNG UP ON THERE CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS IS HORRIABLE I SWEAR THEY BRING OUT THE UGLY IN PEOPLE BECAUSE OF THERE RUDENESS ESSPECIALLY THE DISPATCHER MIKE I WILL NEVER EVER CALL THEM AGAIN UNTIL HE IS FIRED

Owner of yellow cab on marshal avenue in st paul, mn. Well lets see. Mike Breckman let George go. He was one of the nicest of all yellow cab drivers. Always had his cab clean. No cigarette holes in the seats. Always helped me with my groceries and now hes gone. I think his boss is just so money hungry. IRS if you read this review get after Mike Breckman for not paying in all his taxes. He always gets more money out of drivers than he deserves. He treats all the drivers like they dont exist. thats why they have a big turnaround at that company. Mike you need to hire George back. I was making you alot of money! Now your going to lose it all because you let go of my all time favorite driver! Now your car is going to be full of cigarette holes! ..Ill also contact the taxi commision on his butt! He shouldnt get away with how he handles his business...especially his x employees like George..
bad day at yellow cab. I took a ride with yellow cab. My first cab ride was with a guy named George. He was the nicest cab driver that I ever had. He was always so polite.. never was rude or anything and he took me alot of places. Then I heard a driver say that the owner let him go. Thats too bad Yellow Cab is going to miss my money. Ever since George left nothing has been the same. Rude yellow cab drivers..oh well my favorite driver is gone so bye bye yellow cab.
yellow cab - mike breckman = bad company. Hi there. I had a ride in yellow cab and Mike Breckman was my driver. He was grumpy and rude. When he wasnt my driver I heard him yell at the other drivers through dispatch and that is really unprofessional. A customer shouldnt have to hear that kind of yelling. I know some people that have worked for yellow cab and they say that Mike Breckman is just money hungry. He doesnt know how to take care of his employees or his customers otherwise he wouldnt yell over dispatch when he knows customers can hear him. He also tries to get as much money out of his customers and his employees or ex employees. Some of the people that used to work there say that he makes people come in and pay him then fires them right after they pay..C'mon people what does that say about the owner? Please listen to my word and DONT TAKE YELLOW CAB ON MARSHALL AVENUE
