St. Paul gay bar with live music, dancing and karaoke that's popular with all sexual orientations..
In Short
Revellers hit the dance floor and rock out at this University Avenue spot. Sundays and Thursdays feature The Pumps and Pearls drag revue while Mondays and Thursdays are reserved for karaoke. The clientele is a bit older than your typical boy bar's, with a mostly white-collar and down-to-earth crowd interested in mingling with friends and meeting new ones. The space is cozy, comfortable and way too clean to be a bar.
Fun, but smokey. If St.Paul passes a smoking ban, my friends and I would stay home in St.Paul instead of heading over the bridge. The Townhouse is great...but too darn smokey!
TownHouse with Town People. Leave you attitude across the river because this is a place for all people to have a great time. Whether it is happy hour, Kareoke night, pumps & pearls Drag Revue with none other than Lady Victoria, a dance party, Fund raisers for local Non-profits, or a geat night in Blanches Caberet, This is the place that has it all. The best mix of gays and Lesbians toghether enjoying the nightlife. No bull allowed here. The staff are all fun yet Profesional and take great care of you, whether its your first time there or your 17th year coming there. No place like it in the cities can compare!
Low Key. Mostly an older crowd, less cruisy. Has dancing and a cabaret. All in all can be fun, with friends. The location isn't that great though.
Friendly, great bar. The Town House is a very friendly, diverse gay bar equally popular with the ladies and boys. It's great for Karaoke Sun, Mon, Tues.....can be fun dancing on Wed night.....and a good place to keep it low key on the wknds. The bartenders and very nice and they have greasy fries, chicken strips and other food to beat the late night munchies. Never been in the Blanches back area so I cant say much about it. The only bad thing is that it has a very small dance floor and it is small all together. I would take the neighboorhood friendliness over size any day and twice on Sundays. Check it out and enjoy!!
