Reviews of a church? - Just go see for yourself..
I was at services at Unity Church on Sunday, September 21. When it came time to take the collection for the offering, instead of asking us to put money in the basket, they asked each household to take an envelope out of the basket. Each envelope contained some cash and each household was asked to decide how they wanted to use the money to do something good for someone else in the world. Wow, I was totally impressed - very forward thinking congregation.
I should add that most Sundays when they take the collection, 70% of the collection goes directly to a community non-profit. So really EVERY Sunday, they send the collection out to do good work.
Doesn't seem to want visitors.
I have been to this church a few times. Each time, the experience is different. I'm either overwhelmed by people trying to convert me or I am ignored.
The web site is often out of date.
The inside of this church is a maze and no one seems to be interested in helping visitors find their way around. A recent newsletter mentioned not having enough room in the sanctuary for visitors, so I wouldn't go there on any busy days.
