The Best Groomers. David and his staff at Grand Groomers are the very

best groomers we have found anywhere in the

country!

The good people at Grand Groomers have always

treated our canine companions with love and

great affection! They use earth friendly shampoos,

provide a great environment for our dogs while

being groomed, and our guys come home happy

after every visit.

We would not take our canine companions to any

other groomer!

Dog Grooming. We have brought our Shih Tsu to Grand Groomers several times and have always been pleased with the results, and with the prices. And it is usually easy to get an appointment!

I can only speak for myself, but I was happy.... I've read the other reviews, and I don't doubt that they had their own experience. We had a different experience, though. Our poodle was well groomed (we asked for a simple puppy cut) and was very happy.

Overall we were pleased to find a local groomer that we like. I guess each person has their own unique experience.

Grand Groomers - A+ - I wouldn't take my dogs anywhere else!. We have been taking our Bernese Mountain dogs to Grand Groomers for years, and we have NEVER encountered any of the problems listed on this site. When our oldest dog had cancer, David and his people went out of their way to be very gentle. When our second dog had her knee repaired, David and his people got down on their HANDS and KNEES so she wouldn't have to stand on the grooming table. And, unlike MOST groomers David does not put dogs in big drying machines which are dangerous for any dog, but much more efficient for the groomer. Our dogs are hand-dried and brushed to a show quality level every time.

David is a kind soul who does not deserve to be slandered by some petty bullies. Comments like "I hope they have to close their door soon" and "Today's date is June 4 and I am still extremely upset about my visit on March 28" reflect more on the people writing them than the purported experience with Grand Groomers.

They shaved my 9 mo old newf pup!!!. They shaved my Newfoundland, w/o my consent - after I asked for a trim. His undercoat grew back in summer, due to the shaving. His skin developed sores from the coat coming in so fast. Now we have to brush the undercoat out for a second time this spring. Many people have laughed out loud at our dog, some have asked if he is a standard poodle.

Absolute worst groomer to deal with - I hope they have to close their door soon.

No supervision of employees that obviously need it! I had to force a refund through my credit card company.

Pet Owners Beware. This is my second posting. My first posting was on March 30, two days after I picked up my Havanese from the Grand Groomer. I was very upset by their cut and when I dropped off my dog, was as clear as possible on what my expectations were for her cut.

Today's date is June 4 and I am still extremely upset about my visit on March 28! The lapse of time should define to you how bad the service is at Grand Groomer Salon! I would never and will never take my dog back to that salon and am posting this information to inform all dog owners.

The situation - I brought my puppy in to be groomed because I was having a party later that evening and many of my friends had not met my puppy yet. When dropping her off, I told a women at the salon that I wanted here fluffy with a bow on the top of her head. When I picked her up, she was shaved! She had very little fur left on her body, her head was shaved but her legs were fluffy. To me, it looked like a cocker spaniel cut or some kind of terrier. The guy in the salon groomed her and told me she was matted which is why he had to shave her. I would agree that she did have small matts on her legs (which they kept long) but she had none on her body (which they shaved to the skin)! Even though she was a puppy, she was slightly embarrassed. She looked terrible and still looks bad today!

My suggestion is to avoid this salon as I was clear on my expectations and ended up being frastrated about this cut for months. Everyone gets a bad cut once in a while but this cut was beyond bad! Clearly they were busy or lazy and didn't listen to me but just shaved her. They were expensive as well and when I voiced my opinion they did nothing!
