Good Lunch. I stopped by on a week day for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was really cool (I'll have to come back some evening) and the service was excellent. I tried the ceasar chicken sandwich and loved it. Even my glass of iced tea was above par.
Great food, good service, snobby patrons. Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon. Ordered the quesadilla that was outstanding. My strawberry salad was great too. Our server was kind and prompt. However, the patrons were odd. There were two obviously over intoxicated guys at the bar that were being served. One almost stumbled into me. I would recommend coming here, but I would say only for lunch.
We like it. Wild Onion has never disappointed us. No complaints over service or food - I love the strip steak!
a smelly onion. In favor of this bar is the parking lot, the lighting, good televisions, and a woodsy bar. I did not have the service problems complained about by other reviewers, but my wife and I arrived early and did not stay for the dancing, when I suspect most problems occur. But our nachos were made with a disgusting sort of fried chip (as if this dish must be more unhealthy than it already is) and our chocolate cake was not even good by supermarket standards. The beer selection was average. Overall, the place lacks the relaxing character that would bring us back.
ben there. great food, great fun! good looking women at night and cool art on the walls.
This bar needs an attitude adjustment. Overpriced drinks, snobby staff, and bouncers who think they're God, ah The Wild Onion. The only reason I've ever gone to the Onion is for the birthday special, and that can't even get me in the door anymore. This bar sucks. Generally, the patrons are terribly dull, snobby, stare-down-their-nose folk. Go just about anywhere else and you'll be better off.
Great Atmosphere for food or late night. Very good food selection. Late night dance crowd was great, lots of people, lots of energy.
B-Day bashes gone bad.
Went here for a friends B-day. Worst service I've E
VER encountered in the cities. The b-day girls didnt even get my friend her b-day mug until an hour after our arrival. On top of that, they gave the petite girl and XL b-day shirt and then tried to charge her for drinks. The whole staff was horrible. I'm surprised the place makes money w/the terrible service and all the free drinks girls get from the bartenders. I would recommend to everyone to come here for their b-day bash NEVER!
Going wild?. A great place for dancing and have good time with your group of friends.
Great Decor-Long Wait for Food. I was excited to go to the Wild Onion despite its negative reviews on this site; I had heard it was a good place. We visited on a Monday night and it was not busy. Every drink we ordered came promptly, but the food took over 40 min. Our waitress let us know that the reason was because they were looking for Bleu Cheese for my salad but couldn't find any and we were offered $1 off because of the missing Bleu Cheese. (no comp for the wait) The table next to us waited only half the time but the manager came over to them and offered a free dessert. Our waitress even forgot to deduct the measly $1 from our bill. This place has potential to be a great restaurant with its large beer selection, trivia, and decor, but it simply isn't. I'd rather spend my money elsewhere.
