44.940230 -93.171267Unpleasant!. My wife and I were out on Grand looking for a new place to eat and we remembered this place looked nice from the street. We were sadly disappointed. The table we sat at was sticky with food bits on many places. The "vaunted" spring rolls were unfresh and unsavory. Of the two dishes we ordered the pad thai was ok and the seafood pasta was tasty and ample (could have shared this dish). Just wish the place was cleaner!
Gross!. This is not Thai at its best...Yuck! Overcooked rice tasted like someone tried to make fried rice for the first time, turned out being an epic fail!!! Spring rolls were not fresh! Just don't eat there, there are so many good Asian and Thai restaurants in St. Paul. Choose another, trust me it won't be worst than this place! There is no reason any Asian restaurant should serve overcooked rice. 20 dollars for Thai rice and spring rolls I had to just throw away. Whoever gives that place 5 stars, I encourage you to visit another Thai joint you'll be enlightened.
Disgusting!. I am a teacher in St. Paul and decided to take my son out for a nice meal. After taking a few bites of his soup, he pulled something horrific out of his mouth. When I told the waiter, he apologized and said we would not have to pay for that soup. When he came back, he told me the manager said it was a normal muscle, which both the waiter, my son and myself knew that it wasn't. The muscle had abnormal growths attached to it. After talking with the manager, she said that she can't check to see if all the muscles are good and just has to trust that they are. I asked for a refund and she refused. She was extremely rude.
Can't get enough. The food is fresh and delicious with really good vegetarian options. The staff is friendly and the restaurant has a cool atmosphere. For a quiet night out go during the week, it's worth the trip
I can't wait to go back!.
I wasn't sure what to expect but this place surprised me by far.. The decor is beautiful and very comfortable yet classy and elegant. Many options on the menu and prices were reasonable. I had the Chicken Pad Thai noodles, and the Green Curry. I have to admit that for the restaurant being called Pad Thai I was expecting more from the noodles but it was not to my liking... The noodles were dry and stuck to each other in one clump.. However, the curry was amazing!! I couldn't believe how much I enjoyed it..
Aside from the Pad Thai noodles, I will be coming back for more of that curry. Service was great also!
Used to love it, but found hair in our food on two separate occasions. We liked this place a lot - both for eating there and ordering in. About 8 months ago when we were eating there, I found a big long black hair in my red curry. It was pretty disheartening. I told the waiter, who briefly apologized and brought out a new dish. Although I was a bit put-off that there wasn't a real heartfelt apology or really much concern shown, we finished our delicious dinner and left. I've had problems ordering curry since. Anyway, we've eaten there a number of times since then. A few days ago, we ordered some chicken pad thai to go. It was delicious... until we found TWO separate hairs in it! I couldn't believe it. Disgusting. The first time I passed it off as an isolated incident. This time I just can't do it. We will not be eating their food ever again and for the sake of sanitation, I wouldn't recommend the restaurant to anyone.
One of the better Thai places in the Twin Cities. Restaurant reviews are always interesting. Sixteen of the reveiwers here gave this place 5 stars, while 7 gave it 1 star. The truth, I think is somewhere in the middle. I've been here several times and the food and services are almost always good. There are exceptions, of course, mostly depending on what kind of Thai food you're expecting. The Twin Cities have several good Thai restaurants, and I think Pad Thai is one of the better ones.
Good food, bad service. Went here back in November for lunch. The place was about half full. Ordered the pad thai w/chicken and it was really good, good portions...had enough for leftovers. But wow our service was absolutely horrible and is the only reason I give the place a 3/5. Lunch took 1.5 hours and half our table got their food 10-15 minutes after the other half.
Great service, great food, great atmosphere. Everyone who works at this restaurant is fun, friendly, and courteous. I eat there regularly with friends and coworkers, weekdays and weekends and have never had a bad experience. The food is great and the variety is amazing. The yellow curry is my favorite, but we've never had anything we didn't like. Try it - you'll like it.
Excellent food, but too noisy for conversation. The food is as good as Thai food gets in the Twin Cities, but the noise level on a busy night makes it very difficult to hear conversation.
