these guys know how to fix hockey gear!. I have three kids that play hockey and these guys have saved me a bunch of money! Instead of buying new I've had them fix skates, gloves and bags! The quality of the work is unreal - the leather work on skates is excellent The new leather they put on my sons hockey gloves was a higher quality than they came with new.

You've got to use these guys they'll save you a bunch of money!

Rude.. I paid $40/zipper to have zippers replaced on my winter boots in March. The boots are in excellent condition otherwise. Jerry did an excellent job sewing as he was able to perfectly match almost every hole. But by November both zippers were coming undone, one of them separating from the zipper's own cloth (poor quality zipper?). Remember, these are winter boots, so that's about three months of use. I called to find out if they guarantee their work and I was told by the nephew that they guarantee 100% customer satisfaction.

When I brought the boots in, Jerry was immediately defensive. He said he "won't touch them--you've ruined them already!" He wanted to know how much I paid for the work (shouldn't it be a standard fee?). He took the money from the till and threw it on the counter and exclaimed, "Now everybody's happy!" I said that I wasn't happy, that I really wanted zippers on my boots. His reply was that now I was back where I started before coming to him so that now "it isn't my problem, is it?!"

I don't know if I caught him on a bad day and I happened to get the brunt of his anger..... I don't know if broken zippers are a pet peeve of his..... I don't know because there was going to be no discussion about it. Tom the Tailor of SE Mpls is fixing the zippers for the same price only he's doing something to address the parts of the boots/zippers that get stressed--something that should have been addressed the first time. Save yourself the frustration and the second trip--go to Tom the Tailor for zippers.
