Dissatisfied Customer!. I recently purchased a gift certificate for my wife's birthday. I did not know she had already bought 8 classes from another establishment. My wife requested a refund and was told no. I called and left a message for the owner. He called me back and gave me a dissertation on how they invested a lot of money in a system to track GC's and that they don't exchange GC's for cash. I explained that this was a situation where I paid cash for a gift for my wife and we were asking for a refund. He called me back after visiting with his "executive team" and said they implored him to tow the line and not give a refund. In today's economy you would think that a business owner would do whatever they could to satisfy their customers. Too many business owners make the mistake of thinking success in business comes from something other than satisfying their customers. A lesson for the owners of Cooks of Crocus Hill.

Q+S+V=SC

Quality + Service + Value = A SATISFIED CUSTOMER

A satisfied customer is what drives profits, nothing else.

Sadly.... I have loved this store for years, but sadly the retail store part of Cooks has declined lately. Times are tough every where, and what once was great customer service is now just so-so (they don't seem to have enough help). The whole look of the store seems to be in a bit of a decline as well. What once inspired me to buy something I didn't know I "needed" now seems routine and like any one else. The store has lost it's edge. What happened to you, Cooks?? Fingers crossed that you come around again!

All the supplies a gourmet chef or gourmet chef at heart could dream of.. In Short
Wander into this Grand Avenue gourmet temple, and you'll forget that there are a number of fine restaurants nearby. Browsing through the two-level Cooks might inspire you to buy everything and then never leave your kitchen. The service-oriented staff will order any kitchen gizmo you can't find on the shelves. The shop also offers well-regarded cooking classes that leave non-registered cooks brandishing their egg whisks out front.

Excellent Customer Service. I found the perfect spice rack by a company called Soho. It's these cute little magnetic stainless steel containers that come in sets of 5, 12, etc. that you mount in your cupboard or on your kitchen wall and they hold your spices with a clear top so you can see what is in your spice jar. Very retro and very practical for individuals with small kitchens. Cook of Crocus Hill did not have the 5 container set in stock, but had them on order and called me when they arrived. Excellent customer service!!
