Great food, good price, good people

I eat often given how little I eat out, and I've had a number of items from their menu, it has all been great. Before I found out I was gluten intolerant I use to love the steak burger with extra toast, but now I stick with the steaks or grilled chicken breast. The food is very good, pretty fast, and reasonably priced. It's nice to get a salad and baked potato on the side instead of greasy friesl They cook it right in front of you, so you can see exactly how your food is prepared. The interior could use some updating, but I go there to eat, not marvel at interior design, so I'd rather they keep their prices reasonable.

The Gyros are extremely Awesome!
I served in Iraq from Sept 03-Oct 04. Ate What the Iraquis called KABOB. These guys can cook a very tasty Kabob. I go there Every Time I am Threw Minneaoplis/St. Paul. Prices are Fair and the Food is Excellent. And Service is Exceptional As Well! Would Definately Recomend this Place.
- Pros: Awesome Food
Some great steaks, nice and close to home!!

My husband and I eat here frequently. During the summer it is close enough to walk to. We truly enjoy that we are always greeted by the owner and we can watch him toss our steaks right on the grill. I truly appreciate the fact that I can see my food being prepared. As some of the other reviewers have said the decor is totally straight out of the 70's with the dark faux wood booths. The steaks are always tender and the cost is great!! They always have some sort of specials running and that is what I usually end up having. I love the fact that this is a complete meal with salad, potato, butter Texas toast done on the griddle and of course the steak.
- Pros: The yummy steak
- Cons: the 70's booths
This isn't steak - its heaven
by Anthony159 at Citysearch
I've had steak at some of the, "so-called", finest restaurants in the twin cities. Its hard to admit that a restaurant with worn out booths, smoke stained windows, and groove-worn carpeting - beats a fine-dining restaurant with a French name, French menu, and a seating situation that literally revolves so you can see the lights of downtown Saint Paul. Once you carve into a filet at Best Steak and watch it almost crumble beneath your knife...you'll know. To me this is steak so good you have to shut your eyes to experience it. There's an open kitchen setup where you can just smell the smoke rolling off the grill from where ever you are seated. Back to the 70s decor, but a back to your childhood experience. They should be sued for creating addictions - in fact I'm getting one now - I just came to this site to find their phone #.
- Pros: Steak from heaven
- Cons: Where's the shag carpeting to finish off the decor?
Horrible experience!!

I had the worst steak there. I asked for a medium cooked steak and it was bloody raw. I sent it back and they returned the steak to me well well done! I was told "nobody else has a problem, why should you." The ambience is what we would call for a lack of better term "ugly" I would not recommend this place if you are looking for a decent steak and customer service.
- Pros: Prices
- Cons: Steaks, Ambience, Customer Service
