I made my first visit to the Sunbear last week. I met with new stylist, Sara Von, and she has found a fan! The Sunbear is gorgeous and very upscale, without the snobbery of an upscale salon! I felt at home and welcomed in this beautiful setting! Sara took the time to consult with me about what was and wasn't working with my hair. She listens, but is very realistic about what to expect! I left feeling like a million bucks, without having to pay a million bucks! I can't wait to go back for another cut and a color! Go early to check out the darling gift shops in the area! A real gem!

I searched and long and hard (we're talking years and years) to find a stylist that amazed me... I have found several at SunBear Salon/Medspa. It's a hidden gem in the suburbs.... no need to get stuck waiting to get into a "trendy" Minneapolis salons like I did for years, they honestly don't even compare to the quality and awesome experiences I have had since moving to Sunbear. The first time I went there I was skeptical and unsure of what to expect... and I was BLOWN AWAY.... I fell in love =) Some of the qualities that I LOVE MOST about this place... -Fun yet relaxing atmosphere...super friendly and helpful front desk -Modern yet beautiful hair results!!! (color and cuts... we're talking Hollywood style, at GREAT prices... I would have thought would have cost a fortune...only about $125 for full foil and cut... A STEAL) -Hands down the best selection of product out there.. Kerastase and Shu... rock my world! Not only are the stylists super helpful and knowledgeable about products, but they actually EXPLAIN what they do :) Basically, if you are tired of spending hundreds of dollars and waiting months to get in, you MUST call this place, they have so many talented stylists and have availability day night and Saturdays, awesome, I know! (They have a website too). I have seen three different stylists, and each one has been incredible. This place is truly a hidden treasure in quaint little White Bear Lake. You might be thinking.. the suburbs?? ...really??? But my answer is YES!!! I have left there extremely pleased and excited every time. Word to the wise: Get your spa services done there too. Yummy facials and the best face products too.

Cons: products are a bit spendy (but worth every penny)
