How are they still in business?!.
This was my first time ever going to a Davids Bridal and sadly I was extremely disappointed. The store was a mess, nothing was organized needless to say even clean. The only dresses available to try on for my bridesmaid dress was either a size 2 or 10. Their solution was to simply take my measurements and the person helping me said, "if it ends up being the wrong size we should have time to order another one in the right size." This of course was after waiting 30 minutes past my appointment time.
When I came to pick up the dress it was full of wrinkles. It looked like it had been crumpled up on the floor for the last 48 hours. What the store clerk said was, "you can come in before the wedding and we will steam the dress for you," I'm sorry but if I'm paying over $150 for a dress it should not have any wrinkles in it before I pick it up, seriously how are they even in business, it was the worst customer experience I have ever had, the sales personnel were rude and didn't seem to have a clue what they were doing ever. And after all of this the dress doesn't even look good, I am taking it somewhere else for the alterations because I will never give them anymore business ever. The only reason I am giving them 1 star is because it won't let me give them a 0.
Really?. I am not sure why our wedding party even went to Davids. The dresses looked cheap and the sales ladies were very non interested in helping us. We all left he store and said really davids bridal? I would not go back there again.
Horrible service.
My wife went here to get bridesmaid's dresses for my daughter's wedding. Even though she purchased multiple dresses and pairs of shoes, the clerk refused to take my wife's measurements as she wasn't buying her own dress at that moment (my wife wanted to look on David's Bridal website for a larger selection).
I thought this was a courtesy service, let alone the fact that she was buying dresses and shoes, anyway. Very rude and bad business practice.
To top that off, the shoe selection they decided and purchase rang up for 30% more than they were priced for and they wouldn't honor it, even though they were clearly marked. Very shady business practices, as well.
Horrible Customer service.
I'm really a big at good customer service. I read many reviews on line regarding David bridal..and they all said the same, I thought well maybe I'll give it a try...anyways it could be diffrent.
well when me and my bridesmaids got there everything was going good. We had an appointment etc. we met our wedding consult. The girl who suppose to help us out.
That lady was unhelpful what so ever. First she gave me their book and told me to go by the book. Than threw us in the last three room in the corner next to the bathroom and storage closet. Didn't bother to come and check on us and asked if we need it anything. my bridesmaids had to use the dressing room mirror to look at them self...towards the end of the visit...I just told them I don't like anything here....and walked out.
DON'T GO HERE!.
I stopped by David's Bridal to get professional measurements for my bridesmaid dress. Even though I was getting a free service at the time, I was planning on returning after I received my dress to get my alterations. First, it took them at least twenty minutes to find someone that would do my alterations. The person in the front of the store kept telling me to go to the back of the store on my own and ask for a certain person (who apparently wasn't there, or was just avoiding it)
When I finally found someone to do my measurements, she was very unfriendly and quick.
After she handed me the sticky note with my measurements, I noticed that they were all very large. I always wear either a size 2 or a 4, and she wrote that my hips were a 38, my waist was a 28, and my bust was a 36. I could tell that these were outrageous measurements, so to avoid getting a dress WAY too huge for me, I went to Target to buy a measuring tape to measure myself. Upon taking up to 2 inches off each of the measurements, I found better measurements and sent those to the bride to get the proper bridesmaid dress. Since I was being conservative with my own measurements, I still received a dress one size too big.
Had I used the measurements I received from David's Bridal, I would have ordered a dress at least 2 (most likely 3) sizes too big! I would never go back here. They try to make you get a dress way too big so you have to go there to get it altered and pay them at least the value of the dress, if not more.

In Short
A chic, sleek boutique, it's not. But those willing to look carefully will likely find a big-time bargain. The staff is helpful and knows the merchandise but doesn't provide extensive one-on-one attention or advice. Stores (particularly on weekends) can be swamped with brides-to-be. David's specializes in beaded satin A-lines and simple lace sheaths that just hit the $500 mark. Most labels are tasteful but of medium-quality: Gloria Vanderbilt, Lady Eleanor, Oleg Cassini and the likes.
