Fight club. this club is cool except for the fights or brawls outside of it at closing time. I and my friend got smacked around. They have weak drinks also. Not fun getting harassed in the parking lot or while walking home. I got a black eye to prove it! Probably will go back though.…
Best place to mingle. So as a former employee of Star Gate and several other night clubs. i will warn you to avoid this bar on Club Cystal night. its dangerous. However i do disagree with the other posts on this site that denounce it to the point of saying you're risking your life. metal detectors are only used on crystal nights due to the seedy crowd and wanna be thugs that show up. i worked there for two years before i finally quit to go back to school. i would rate the bouncers as nothing but courteous and those that arnt are promptly fired by the wonderful Mr. Mike or Amanda. All in all Wed. is my favorite night to go myself and friday nights are fun and enjoyable for those underage. i've never had a bad time and the drink prices are great, the waitresses are extremely good looking and coureous, the bouncers are professional and will walk you to your car even if they have other more enjoyable things to do. Star Gate is by far one of the safer clubs in the city. at least its not like the venue where every piece of trailer trash in the city shows up to dance with the barely legal innocents who know no better, or Spin that is so packed a girl could die and no one would notice until 3:00 when the bar finally empties enough for a person to stretch their arms farther than three inches from their sides. I always enjoy myself and did even when i was under 21. drinking doesn't make that club fun the people do.…
NOT GOOD OR SAFE!. This was a terrible place to be. I had no idea how violent this place really was. The bouncers, after hitting on us, apparently no longer wanted us in the club because we were not interested in them and said if we didnt leave they would "drag us the ***k out" Unbelieveable. We went because of the free drinks but im thinking my life is more important. When telling this story to a friend she told me how she went and her boyfriend assulted by the bodyguard because he told the guy to leave her alone. If that doesnt stop you from going, maybe the metal detectors, the patdowns and the search of your pockets and purses will. But im sure you can ask the cops who are always outside because of the shooting and stabing that happened this year, or the paramedics. Seriously, avoid this place.…
Careful of the Trigger Happy Law Enforcement.
Although I'm sure Stargate has its share of problems, I was confronted by a power hungry law enforcement officer who thought that he could use Mace whenever he pleased. Now you may be thinking that I
probably did something to deserve it, but you're wrong. I was the designated driver just trying to get my buddy, who had been kicked out of the club, to the car. The officer simply saw that I was with him and pulled his mace on me. I threatened to bring him to court if he pulled the trigger. He replied by saying "Oh you're gonna bring me to court huh?" and pulled the trigger.
Now its time to get what's coming to you guy, have fun battling it out in court with my personal injury attorney.
Oh, and as far as the club goes, plenty of hot women in there... great place as far as that goes.…
Best Staff other than the owner. The staff is really nice but I would never want to work there. The owner is rude and annoying. Ive seen and heard her yell at the staff in front of customers. To me, I think that is extremely unprofessional! Who wants to see that. It ruined my experiece there and I felt bad for the people that work there. Noone should have to put up with that kind of treatment. I have a friend who she was rude to also, you'd think the owner of a club would set a good example and treat her customers and employee's with respect.…
