Captive Tan

Not worth it. Always a long line out the door. There are always a few bulbs burnt out and they claim that they will "tell the manager" or "fix it". The rooms are grungy and not very comfortable. My "regular" tanning salon (silver beach tan) is 1/2 the price, yet double the amenities. Captive Tan even has extremely cheap body jewelry, tacky sunglasses, and knockoff handbags for sale. I've noticed that I bake so much in these beds that my skin is mildly burnt and very sensitive up until two days after tanning. Which in turn gives me the darkest tan, but even more skin damage. The outside of the beds look very old and like they are from the early 90's except the one newer bed...which already appears to be falling apart. The customer service is nothing to rave about there are a few burnt out bulbs working the counter as well...if you know what I mean. They definitely need to brush up on their knowledge and details of the beds and lotions. I'm told there is an owner who is also the manager but I have never received calls back after my complaints that I filed with the assistant manager, so if I ever hear back I will be complaining about the assistant manager as well. (I understand corporations losing track of who to call back but if there is only one owner and manager there shouldn't be a problem but if the owner is anything like the assistant manager she is trashy, orange and obviously negligent). I am also under the impression that they never change out ALL the bulbs in the beds...I have been told I am going in a bed with "new bulbs" and felt no difference, and I usually go tanning in the evening which is busy there, so I should be feeling some kind of heat. Highly Recommended. I am new to Captive Tan. I really recommend this salon to anyone. It is very clean, the employee's are very friendly and know what they are talking about. I do not tan very easily and after one session, I could see definite sticker lines. I have never had this happen at any other salon. I bought 20 sessions and they never expire. No membership fee or monthly withdraw from my account, which I love.…

Great Tanning Salon. I have tanned at a lot of salons, and Captive Tan is one of my favorites. I love that you can buy pacakges or single sessions. You don't need to sign up on a membership to tan there. Their salon does get busy at times, but it's always been worth the wait to me. I have always gotten great tanning results. I especially like their Elite bed! Employees are great too!…

Too busy. Captive Tan seems like a great salon but everytime I go in there it is SO busy and they never have more then one person working. Usually there is a wait or even a line, which would say they are a nice salon but it takes forever to get through the line and into a bed. It seems very clean and the staff is friendly but it gets really annoying when the only time I have to go is either Saturdays or during the evening after work and I have to wait in line while the worker is running around with her head cut off.…
