LeeAnn Chins on Hudson Road.
Disappointed. We've had their takeout several times in recent months and have felt it to be a decent choice for a quick meal. We've always ordered their "plates" to go..
We got a 2 for 1 coupon in today's newspaper and my husband decided to use it and get us something for dinner. Instead of our usual chicken entrees, we decided to try their beef and broccoli.
My husband got to the checkout counter to pick up our food and found they had packed it in cartons instead of on the plates he's always picked up before. The cashier said "sorry the coupon is only good on the plates." Rather than have to start over, he paid full price and came home with the unused coupon.
To add insult...the beef and broccoli was more like carrots and broccoli; I found four tiny pieces of beef in my serving.
We'll likely go back to our former favorite takeout: Ho Ho Gourmet.
Casual, quick Chinese cuisine located in nearly every corner of the Twin Cities..
In Short
Colorfully painted and situated in convenient metro areas, Leeann Chin restaurants are always easy to spot. While some locations have a few tables for those wanting to dine in, it's mainly a take-out business. Boxed salads sit in coolers; the rest of the dishes are pre-made. Popular with the lunch crowd, the place is usually packed at noon. The menu consists of fast takes on traditional favorites like beef lo mein and lemon chicken.
A definite favorite!. Born in St Paul but now residing in Chicago, I can definitely say that one of things I miss the most is LeeAnn Chin! I have eaten there so many times I feel as though I know her! I love everything on the menu but my favorites are the Peking Chicken, Oyster Chicken Wings and Fried Rice. My mouth is watering just thinking about it! If someone from LeeAnn Chin reads this, could you please open a restaurant in the Chicago area???
Inconsistent. Perhaps it was a couple bad food days, but I've found the food to be old and stale on a couple visits. I hope they work on their consistency.
