Peter Gilliam is simply a brilliant stylist. My boyfriend has extremely straight hair that is very difficult to cut without looking choppy. He has tried many different stylists due to the fact that we move around, but now every time he is visiting Minnesota I insist he see Peter. No one has ever cut his hair the way Peter does, it looks perfectly blended and flawless every time. It also grows out beautifully. From Portland, to Columbus, to Pittsburgh no one has been able to match Peter's talent!

The only response I received from people were stares at my outdated hairstyle and horrific hair color. Now I am getting compliments from people that never noticed me until Peter Gilliam performed his magic. Loving the new me!

Peter does a great job and has been really accommodating when it comes to scheduling. I didn't expect that I'd find someone I'd always want to go back to, but am glad that I did.

Wow. I just got home from my first
visit to New Art Salon and am so excited to write this review!
The atmosphere is professional yet down-to-earth, with absolutely no air of pretentiousness. I walked in wearing my hoodie and jeans and was greeted with a warm smile, and knew my business was appreciated just as much as that of the well-dressed, professional woman sitting next to me.
I come from a background of some seriously horrendous haircut experiences and am usually on the brink of a panic attack any time I try a new stylist. However, Peter made me feel immediately at ease and I knew I was in the hands of a professional. He spent a good amount of time making sure he understood the nature of my hair, asked me tons of questions, and made sure I was on board with his ideas before he took the first snip. Not only did he give me an amazing haircut, he was a blast to talk to and I could not be more satisfied with my experience.
I am happy to report I have officially ended my salon search and will recommend Peter to everyone I know from now on!

Saw Amanda at the New Art Salon in January and received a wonderful cut and foil coloring!! Amanda was super friendly and welcoming and very fun to talk with. She was very knowledgeable and offered good advice on both the cut and color. Took the time out to fully discuss what I wanted before she began. It was obvious that she loves working with her clients and is very skillful with color application. Best foils I have ever gotten! I am about to make my next appointment with Amanda. Highly recommend!!

Roger Tschida is terrific! Roger has been cutting my hair for over 30 years. I'd follow him anywhere: and before he opened New Art Salon, I had! Besides being challenged by fine, straight hair and a cowlick, I'm not at all clever with my hair. Roger gives me great cuts that do all the work, keeping it simple for me. He is an artist and a craftsman. He loves what he does and it shows. He's the best of the best!

Best Haircut I have had in years!!! My hair is super thick and have felt like it always ends up looking the same....until I found Peter!! Thank you for using your art/skill to create a new look that is easy (yes, I know love the curl that I have) sassy and fun!!! Can't wait for you to add some new color as well!!!! I will highly recommend Peter's gift of talent!!

Thanks to Theresa for the fantastic cut over the weekend! She's always helped me feel more confident walking out the door than walking in! I've never felt more comfortable in a salon environment! Can't wait for my next cut.

Another great haircut from Peter, give him a try if your looking for a new stylist.
Peter takes the time to make sure my hair is cut the way I want it without rushing me out the door. He is always concerned that my hair looks good to me and makes himself available for cuts when I need them fast. Thanks again Peter!
