In Short – Why go downtown when you can be greeted by the friendly Casper Family, enjoy stiff drinks and partake of steaks that almost melts in your mouth (very popular steak of the millennium is aged, cooked to perfection and enough to take home for next day's lunch). If meat isn't for you, try the great seafood or a surf and turf combo. Expect to see three generations of one family patronize this spot; from prom night to anniversaries nothing says home-style comfort more than Cherokee's.
great place to smell old people

First of all this place need to update their website. 50% of their menu is undated on their site. I took my wife for our anniversary and the place was fool of old people and the smell was in the air. Ive ordered their so call "Steak of the Millenuim" and it wasnt even good. The steak wasnt seasoned with salt or pepper, over cooked, and folded into one big piece. My mash potatoe was portioned equal to one scoop of ice cream . Ive paid 22 dollars and could have got a better steak at Fridays, perkins, or dennys. As a chef with 16 years of experience I wont recommend this restaurant to any of my friends.
- Pros: almost better than TGI Friday
- Cons: $$ for too little food.
LOVE THE NEW LOOK!!
by CalienteMami at Citysearch
The Sirloin Room has made quite the change! I was there for lunch this past week and was VERY impressed! They've always had good food, but with the tight space and dim lighting I didn't go there very often. With the "new look" I will DEFINITELY be back more often! Not to mention...they have pull tabs and salsa bands...I'd HIGHLY recommend going here!!
- Pros: BRIGHT, QUICK SERVICE, GREAT FOOD & PRICE
Not so great

Took the wife there for the free sirloin birthday . It wasn't very impressive. Might as not have a reservation they seat first come first serve. I had reservation for 7 pm and I was watching people getting seated on standby before me. After I said something they wanted me to sit at the bar? Why did I get a reservation? I tried little bit of the steak and it was dry and had no taste. The renowned au gratin potato's were au-rotten. The waitress was pretty good though. I would never go back there again. I think the hostess just put me in the bad mood for the whole evening.
- Pros: jumbo breaded shrimp
- Cons: service
